LOVE this game! Hooked on it. It's different than beat saber, totally different mechanics (and better music). Both games have their place and this freaking game is totally awesome and fun. You won't regret getting it and some music packs.

I agree, the music is much better and I love the retro feel.
Not a hard cardio workout ? Get the f*** outta here.. Try a couple of complex tracks in the Force Mode and really hit the targets.. my floor is full of sweat xD

I will have to try those other levels out. Im not great at playing the game but in the normal modes, you don't really burn that many calories compared to a boxing game but that should be expected.
I've had this game since May. Really love it. My favorite rhythm game of all time was DDR Max through Extreme 2. The good ol' days :D
Great video I'm thankful you do these reviews!!!
Dude... I just tried the demo for the first time, and for me... it’s a supernatural killer. It now has multiplayer, 55 songs from the start (and more you can buy), and is way more intense than SN. I was sweating after 5 songs, where it would take me at least 10 with supernatural. Also, you don’t have to pay a subscription to use it. Yeah, you don’t have a coach in your ear encouraging you, but, the heavy base synth really makes my WOOJER buzz and the rapid orbs keep me way more engaged. Wow... that was long. Can’t believe it’s taken me a year to discover this!!!
Hey @BMF You should really do a re-review of Synth Riders... It has had so many updates in the last year, improved graphics and Quest 2 support, a great multiplayer mode with modifiers, a great community, and 3 GREAT DLCs (especially Cyberpunk Essentials!)
Another nice review thanks Matt:)
I almost fell the first time I tried this but I love it!! Love the Retro theme, and the notes to match up with the music in my opinion.
I love dubstep so this will be a must for me!
Luv ur vids! 🤩

Would have liked a campaign mode like beat saber but found it leagues more fun and satisfying than the latter
I was looking at this game and was worried it would feel top much like beat saber. How do you rate the game against beat Saber, and do you think it adds enough variety to the genre to be worth owning/playing along side it?
This looks cool! But definitely waiting for pistol whip 👌

M. Nice Ikr it’s crazy how no one has made a tron VR game
You should compare it to moonrider on the quest browser

yes, i found it be quite similar in general style. playing moonrider in punch mode really helped me to get used to synth riders, and i recommend both games. moon for simpler straightforward play, synth for bigger style, and more options.

I have yet to purchase on of these rhythm games, Matt, which do you suggest I try first?

i dont think you know the meaning of the word 'official' lol
I'm sorry I just have to say.. that's not techno.
Picked this up today and after 3 rounds I refunded it. Just didn't find it special or fun at all and not worth the $17 to me. Am I the only one? It seems say many games get a somewhat positive review and I find them bla, Like this an Elven Assassin. I only picked up Beat Saber a few months ago because despite all the positive from everyone, I thought I'd find it mostly boring like I did Audio Shield. But I was wrong, I found Beat Saber FANTASTIC and addictive.Sticking to that and will give Pistol Whip a try when it's available.

Not every game is for everyone. I think you might like Audica. People call it Beat Saber but with guns. It's made by the same people who made Dance Central. In Death is also fun though does eat up a lot of your time and is really hard. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is just hilarious but you do need 2 people locally. Until you fall is super satisfying to play. The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners is a very interesting survival game. No Man's Sky supports VR and if you have the hardware, it is quite spectacular to fly towards a planet and see actually how huge it is. Boneworks I think is one of the coolest games I played yet. The amount of physics involved in that are impressive. Just some that I recommend.

I returned it at first and now I bought it again when it was at sale. I didn't like it much when I tried it first, but now it became one of my favourite games on quest. It needs some time to grow, and you should play at least on hard level. I also really like the new electro synth songs that came with the last update.

@@zacheryhole3294 not really when they see a constant return of purchases they refuse to refund even if you played less than 2 hours
