Me, too.. HAHAHA. Sorry, life got REALLY hectic. Let me see if I can do it this week. I live in FL and it's been too humid to paint..

This is what I have done with my platter. I have left the top alone, because it is covered with a slipmat; but I have scrubbed the strobe dots off completely. I did with with Acetone and a wire brush. I used a smallish brush that looks a bit like a toothbrush. It requires some elbow grease, but the result is a bare aluminium. The Strobe works just as well - ie the black background is not needed. As a finishing touch I polished the aluminium with Autosol. Incidentally it is a good idea to get a quality aftermarket mat, say from Funkfirm or Oyaide. The reason is that the rubber underneath the platter is not correctly applied and so the platter has a lot of resonance with is a bad thing - a better platter will ameliorate this.
