i do not have this but i own a SL-1000MKII with pre for mc type cartridges ,a SP-1 and a SL-M1, as i also have from pioneer the PLC-590 20 series ,in total i have 17 turntables ,starting in the PL-51 and P3 from pioneer early 70´s ,being the P3 from a exclusive pioneer system, having also a 60´s professional line from thorens and garrard all working with perfection, the most similar to a tangential turntable i own is a late 70´s revox turntable, the one that rotates a rectangular box to the top of the record ,inside the system made for it is Ortofon

I got one with some peeling on vinyl . Excellent condition other than that . $670 shipped in lower 48 contiguous states.

Cool design for the Technics aficionados. But not the best of the era. The Mitsubishi LT series (LT-1/3/5) and of course the mighty Pioneer PL-L1 were much better linear tracking turntables.

So what they did is put tonearm on left side along with an ugly block, very ugly design.

It's a tangential tonearm with an airbearing system. It's supposed to eliminate tracking errors that pivoted arms have.
