Can you provide a session on welding a butt joint and analysing its strength?

That's a great suggestion, I will go ahead and let our Ansys Mechanical Engineer, John Dao, know about that suggestion. Best, Jessica

Might be asking a lot. Is there a way to see which objects have been generated using the object generator. E.g. if you are checking a model someone else has made, rather than go through everyone, just check the original one and that the generated ones are scoped to geometry correctly without having to check all settings?

Hello Janner, There are many means and methods to observe contacts. If you are interested in the contacts made for a body with other bodies, you can click on that body, right click, go to, view contacts and it will highlight all the contacts for that body. If you are interested in the contacts between two different bodies with one another only, hold CTRL, click on both bodies, right click, go to, and select contacts between both bodies. This will highlight the contacts that have been generated and exist between the selections you have made. You can also select all the contacts made, right click, and have them renamed according to which bodies they are scoped to. This might help you manipulate your contacts better. It's even better if the bodies all have their own name. E.g., Screw1, Screw2, Screw3, etc. They will have their names in the contact list and it will be easier for you to find. I hope some of these tips help. Sincerely, John Dao, P.E. Sr. Applications Engineer at KETIV Technologies
