Tech Talk: Alarico - Techno, In The Box & Raw Rhythms (Electronic Beats TV)

Музыка

With this new Electronic Beats TV Tech Talk episode we glimpse into the world of Italian artist Alarico, a beacon of light in the contemporary Techno scene making a mark through his raw, rugged and unconventional Techno style, which has found a home on the likes of Mutual Rhytm, Klockworks and his own Katana Records among others. Alarico’s studio space sits in the same building as another recent Tech Talk featured artist, Chlär, and the pair recently collaborated as Funk Assault launching their own label "Primal Instinct". Here we take a look at Alarico’s predominantly in the box production approach and gather some insight into how he goes about crafting his unique spin on Techno that’s gained widespread attention in recent years.

    Exactly on point, Is the ear not the gear. And there are no rules in techno. Even being a compulsive gear accumulator I totally support his point about tools.

    Really refreshing to see someone who's only using a minimum amount of tools that he needs to achieve what he wants, and is not obsessed with gear, and focused on the music it self. And it wasn't any less interesting to watch

    Yes alarico is good but I hope he doesn’t turn to minimal( the hive) good for you if you like that Rene wise like super stripped back sound, but some of us hope he continues producing mostly hardgroove tracks like god bless hip hop, Ae 86, domino doge 02 remix.

  • @timozomerman

    @timozomerman

    It's not like he hasn't produced more stripped back stuff before (his releases on OOM Records and Klockworks come to mind). So I am guessing he will continue releasing in both styles. I don't think there's a strong distinction here anyway - all of it is fast and banging on any good sound system.

    I completely disagree.. Its important the choice of sound that you use.. AND the processing of it😃 Imagine if Moby had not reversed the string sample on Porcelain 😉 Still this is a great Ad for Abelton..
