I hope that was sarcasm. It can have a shit ton of sensors but whats the range??? I'm not asking advertised range. I'm asking reality. Review was a bought product presented on a table out of the box. No siren test, nothing.

Nice informative video. When those who are shopping finally realize that security systems are a deterrent only and that 40 percent of thieves will still smash and grab, then it becomes easier to make a good choice on a system.

If one were able to jam the cellphone system would this compromise the alarm?

If you've got thieve that that level of technical sophistication breaking in, it really doesn't matter what system you have they're getting in.

do small pets set off the motion detector? how long does it take to trigger the alarm if the motion detector senses movment? I would need 15 entry sensors, and at $15 a piece I figure 3 motion sensors would be better

Simplisafe was a strong contender but I chose Armorax Home Security. I didn’t have to pay much upfront for the sensors and I liked their equipment over Simplisafe’s…it’s better quality unlike something cheap you can get off Amazon. Yeah there’s a contract but it’s just a better value for my money because not only did I get discounted equipment, I also got an encrypted panel that’s 100% cellular with WiFi backup.

This is a great security system, my parents got it when Protection 1 raised the price on the bill. I'm not trying to trash talk Protection 1, it kept us safe until we switched to this company and my ears can handle SimpliSafe better

Wired system is good......until the wires are cut.

Sensors can be wireless but the brains HAVE to be wired in my opinion. Keypads and sirens should be hardwired. It's extremely rare to have a home that is impossible to get a wire to. GE Security systems are extremely dependable.

He said the base needs to be plugged in. Still leaves the same problem as other alarms.

+kristey harrington I have this System. There may be some misunderstanding. There is a power cord to the main base unit. That is the only piece that requires electrical plug in. The rest of the components are battery powered. The remote itself will still work if the power is off at your house. The base will actually send you a text to let you know the power has been disconnected. There is an internal rechargeable battery inside the base unit that will run the system for 8 hours without electricity. hope this helps.

Not only is what Darren Sanderson said very informative, but when the base station is hidden, burglars won't know where the siren is coming from. Besides that, if someone does gain entry, the keypad beeps like any other keypad, distracting them so they go to it to destroy it and stop the system from calling the police. The system will still operate and set off the alarm if the keypad is destroyed.

You mean the 'professional' systems that keep jacking up the monitoring fees every year??? Those???? You're right, Jay, they are soooooooo much better.
