Hi jordan peak dance music producer here. The effect on his voice (planet rock intro) is a delay with a very short ms (somewhere between 20-90 id guess) with a lot of feedback, it gives that unique robotic effect

I was a 12 year old Bay Area West Coast kid when Planet Rock came out. We use to Pop, Strut and Electric Boogaloo dance to everything and this and Numbers by Kraftwerk was like the Anthem for street dancing for us. Probably for everyone that was dancing. Funny how I can make this beat now because of Technology in DAWs but when they made these songs they Where ahead of the technology game. Al nayyyfish the soul was crazy mad to here. I use to DJ and it was the DJ scratching song of choice it was another summer Jam.

This takes me back to summer 1982, when I first heard "Planet Rock". Literally made me cross-eyed when I first heard this song!!! LOL!!! "Play At Your Own Risk" was actually the result of Tom Zimmerman telling Arthur Baker and John Robie to scale the song back to the simple Kraftwerk sounds of what you hear now. Check out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_Patrol for more info. So two songs were actually made during the very 1st session.

Kraftwerk did not sue them because they came to an agreement to raise $1 on the price and that extra dollar would go to kraftwerk

Bambaata's voice effect, that is STEEL PLATE reverb. This is what they used in back in the day BEFORE transistors. A person can build steel plate reverb with a quick trip to Home Depot and $20. Plenty of KZread vids on "how to..."

Let The Record Show TV I like MM... FOOD better. The production, samples, theme, metaphors related to food, ect. Some songs that on Operation Doomsday are crazy too, like Tick, Tick..., Rhymes Like Dimes, Hey!, Red and Gold, Doomsday, The Mic, Gas Drawls and that’s almost the entire album. Hmm, it is filled with songs without flaws, crazy album from a crazy villain.
