See I didn't hear him until EBAH was a few months old, and then preordered Something Else when it came out. I LOVE Something Else, but also had no prior Tech knowledge. Then after Boiling Point started getting his old stuff. Ive herd everything to date and IMHO he only gets better. Technician for life right here lol.

I know this comment is late but whatever. I think he made albums like Mixed Plate and Something Else (aka happier albums) because even though KOD was an awesome album, some fans were kinda sad that he got so dark and gloomy that he made happier albums.

Nolan Johnson Your exactly right about that. I enjoyed The Gates Mixplate. I like his happy songs like "Bout to Bubble", but the over all 808 hard rap sound changed. I still like Tech. He just hasnt been the same to me. But that "Fear" song really hits home for me now.

Funny story how I discovered tech. I was walking to my car in my local college parking lot and I came across a cd on the ground labeled "The Hostile Takeover" and the rest is history. Great respect for him. Fan since 2003 :).

2002. It's from Absolute Power, which came out in '02.

When it take 5 mins to learn a songs lyrics you know there is no lyrical diversity *cough* 2 Chainz/Drake *cough*, when it takes days of practice to completely master a verse, you know the artist is lyrically gifted and actually took time to make each verse in their song. Keep it coming Tech, you never fail to disappoint.

Well. Did I get the "F......" surprise of my life tonight. My daughter invited me to a friend of hers 21st birthday party. A young man was playing DJ. Now, I must first explain that I'm a 60yr. old mother and grandmother. Tobe honest I've never been a fan of "Rap" music. I'm a "Led Zeppelin", "Hendrix", "Janis Joplin", blues, acid rock, so on& so on,& so on, baby. A late 60's & 70's, S.F., Berkley, Oakland, music fan. But when this music came on, I stopped and started listing to the sound. I asked who is this? He said "Tech N9ne", then I proceeded to pester him about the music! He said the record label was "Strange Music" an independent label, and the name came from the "Doors" "Strange Days", I'm very familiar with the "Doors". The young man kept changing from song to song. I snapped (I did apologize) at him to leave the sounds alone so I could here more. I took out my pen & some paper and started asking questions, & more questions. When the party broke up I went home and looked up "Strange Music". I must say, I "LOVE" the "MUSIC" the label, the other artists. I'm looking forward to hearing the new sounds. I am very impressed. The young lady's, 21st birthday party ended early, she started partying to early to hard, and "Fizzled" out pretty early. I told her,"Partying hardy, takes some practice." I know, I've been there many times. Just wanted to say "THANKS."
