A few extra tips: 1) You can do this test either on campus or remote (from home). If you choose to do it from home, you still need to have a form of identification like a drivers license and have a good internet connection. 2) The layout and look of the actual test is very similar to the test question bank that ATI already offers. If you have anxiety, and want to feel more comfortable, then look at the Quiz Bank on their website for how it will look. 3) YOU DO NOT NEED A CALCULATOR. The test will come with an on-screen calculator that you can use for a variety of functions. 4) You can have a piece of scratch paper if you take it from home, otherwise scratch paper will be provided at the testing site. 5) This test is ~3 hrs long with 170 questions. You get a 10 minute break if you choose AFTER the Math Section. The sections go in order with: Reading, Math, Science, English & Language Usage. Finally, if you passed your prerequisites, I truly believe you can pass this test! I believe in all of you and am here if you need anything! XO Amanda :)

Secondly, the tips you provide us upcoming teas student is incredibly helpful. Honestly, throughout this whole week; I was suffering from hyperventilation lol due to the idea of me taking the teas and not knowing the outcome. However, with this in-depth and comprehensive details - I feel reconciled from my worries. So, thank you so much for that. Lastly, the illustrations provided throughout was very helpful as well for me. Since, I’m a visual learner. The flash cards pasted on the screen for the science section was extremely helpful for me. It helped me to better outline and understanding the synopsis and function of the A&P of our body. Although, I’m still study. After watching your remarkable and beneficial video. Now, I have faith that I will definitely pass my teas test. Will definitely update you on my test result! Thank you so much again for this wonderful video for us upcoming healthcare workers!

Hey there - so I’m planning to take this exam as a requirement for an ADN program (eventually I want to bridge to BSN) because I have a 4-year degree that’s not in science. I don’t have any interest in doing one of those bachelors transfer accelerated BSN programs. My question is - I graduated college almost ten years ago and only ever took biology and chemistry, so I have no experience w/anatomy or physio minus what we’ve covered in my CNA course. Do you think it would be best to invest in a full blown TEAS study class instead of just going by a study guide? I feel a little disadvantaged because I’ve missed those key science classes and they’re not pre reqs for the ADN program. Thanks!

I’m so confused with the hyperventilation and hypoventilation, it was the complete opposite of what I was taught ! Excuse me if I’m wrong but I thought that hyperventilation, your expelling more CO2 into the air resulting in a decrease of co2 inside your body and because of this you will be in respiratory Alkalosis. Respiratory alkalosis = decrease in co2, increase in blood PH. Hypoventilation causes respiratory acidosis because co2 accumulates.

Question: TEAS is the test you take after all the pre-req classes? Nursing has been an interest of mine for many years, due to the low number of seats available in my location and the competitive nature, I never bothered to get into the program. I know several ladies who had perfect scores and tried to get in for years, they finally left the state for a few years to pursue their degree where there is less competition before returning home. My wife refused to move and leave her friends, however, there may be an opportunity in the next 12-24 months, and would like to finally get into a program. I am unsure where we will be moving, that is actually completely open, I would like to start preparing, taking whatever classes are needed, etc. I do have two degrees already. One is a science degree in the oil field, never my true passion, so math, English, chemistry classes were all done, though it has been years, and unsure they will count or have to be taken again.

hi! most pre-nursing programs cover information for entrance exams including TEAS. it’s not required that you do a pre-nursing program to take TEAS though. depending on which programs at different schools you’re looking at, you might have to re-take placement exams for math or english. some schools do you use past credits to or have a time limit for how long ago you could have gotten those credits. good luck
