I recently lost both of my parents a year and a 1/2 apart. My dad was a musician his entire life and when I sing this song I choke. Covid sucks and so do hospitals. My singing helps me to deal with the pain from the loss I am feeling. They were both my best friends and were married 58 years. While there are no tears in heaven there are still many tears here on earth. I love you Mom and Dad and I miss you more than you'll ever know.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💋💋💋💋 til we meet again.

I am so with you sweetheart. Life is such a drag when we lose our people, but losing our parents really takes part of us with them. Father 1994' Mother 2023' in September. We were very close. I will miss them all.. My sister was killed four months after my father passed. And we were also close. Sad times. ((HUGS)) Stay strong. I sing too. If you upload them come by. I've got some too. I took a lot down and started over kind thing.. But some good country's there. lol

it really touches my heart and soul ...I remember my beloved son who passed away 10 yrs ago...he will always remembered and stays in our hearts and mind I know he is in heaven...

I cannot listen or sing this song without crying. I have no idea how he was able to sing this. It is so tragic and yet incredibly beautiful. It's hard not to give this heartbreaking song a meaning of your own when you listen to it. It's even harder when you think about the true meaning of the song. Tragically beautiful in so many ways.

When my grandpa, the sweetest man I ever knew, died after years of dementia, my sister and I sang this at his funeral, while my boyfriend played the guitar... Now I'll never be able to sing it without breaking into tears, I still miss him every day

+keithfrmcov I can so relate to your words. My mum, right now is preparing for her transition to heaven in hospital - it's very hard just two days before my birthday and 12 days before Christmas.... she is far too young to go and I feel far too young to be without my mum :(

I've been there I perform for my dad's funeral and my mother's funeral he always liked Elvis Presley which I'm a big fan so I sing my way I only got halfway through the song and lost it.
