@@RichardsOwsuthat's how they do it in Nigerian tradition I don't know about your place but they do it in my tradition too I'm not Igbo but we do it. The loved ones of the deceased usually drop money on top of the coffin I don't know about spraying the money. People will dance round the coffin and then drop money on top of the coffin. I have seen it happen on several occasions even at my ground parents burial but I haven't asked what it means. Will definitely ask. U can browse it out maybe u will get an explanation.

That's how it is done I have seen it happen in burial ceremonies I thought it was only my state in Nigeria but was surprised to see it happen here. Most cultures in Nigeria do it. I saw it happen during my grandparents burial but have no idea what it means.
