Just for Information, in game 3 i fired the starter in standby because i wanted to play around mbt having a tear monster that i need to negate to cut him of his plays, but then also has a must answer spell, but this line does not play around dark ruler as well. That misplay vs floowander of normal summoning instead of just going straight to battle and running over barrier and killing them on the following turn cost you the game. You had enough interaction vs floowander's next turn that there was no reason to trigger map in the first place.

@@CSCH69 yes but wind barrier would be gone allowing the normal summon of Reinoheart to actually use it's effect to fuse putting him in a superior position. Ontop of which he then has both Millennium eyes and dragostapella for whatever map summons off his normal of Reinoheart. If the opponent imperm Reinoheart they no longer have anything to stop both dragostapella and millennium eyes allowing MBT to clean up easily. Hence why the key part of the play was to go to battle and run over barrier statue then win on the following turn instead of normal summoning a monster that didn't do anything because of barrier statue.

What I love about Tears is the sheer amount of searchers and playstarters they have. You got Rota for it's main playmaker, or Fusion Deployment to special summon it from the deck for practically little cost with a bit of finesse. You can even use Foolish Burial of Goods to search any main deck monster you want by sending it's continuous trap, among other things! The fact the archtype also practically has another starter in the form of Sea Mare and Instant Fusion just makes things all the sillier to me. Point is, the archtype is hyper-consistent in all the best ways, so even mixing it with other archtypes or experimenting with kooky builds isn't a bad idea. I also love Swamp King's interactions with this deck, since you can use it to also cheat out Invoked Caligua w/ a Predaplant DragoS or Tear lineup to screw combo players out of their turn. You can also run a small Malicious package to turbo out Dangerous to have access to Beatrice, if you want to really get experimental or want even more interactions. And that's not even getting into the obvious synergies Snow, Destrudo, and cards like clown have. The deck rewards creativity with how you go about it, and combined with it's consistency and multiple playstarters you don't get punished too much for being experimental either. All in all, Tears is just fun to play around with.....though competitive will be ruining it shortly once it comes to the TCG no doubt.

invoked caliga + dragostapellia can honestly be stronger than winda imo. putting king of the swamp to 3 and freeing up some space in the main deck for more equalizers and whatnot. the monster negated by stapellia would also count towards the one monster effect allowed by caliga due to the odd wording on both of those cards. Its about the free draw off of beast vs more matchup consistency/flexibility in playing caliga.
