This one isn't too hard as Tear. It's more about planning things out based on the amount of space you have left and keeping control over the fight. Whenever possible, you always want to put him in hitstun before attempting to jump over him (if doing no free run). Otherwise, he can anti-air you depending on which attack he picks. I played a little overly-aggressive, causing myself to have to jump over him twice. Luckily, things worked out okay.
