This commercial was posted more than 7 years ago before it was posted by WSJ, probably around 2013. I graduated high school around that time and this was the video that added fuel to the fire of my dreams to become a Medical Doctor. Today, I came back to watch this video again and I’m bawling because now I’m already a newly licensed Medical Doctor. I wanted to become a doctor to really help people in need, some may say that it could lead to a financial stability but it takes more than that to continue such dreams. I may not be rich nor going to be super rich, but saving lives is and will always be my calling. Thank you again to this video who inspired my young self to become a doctor! Why are Thai Commercial videos always like that? So touching, emotional and inspirational. When they make us cry, we cry. when they make us laugh, we laugh. How magical they are.

When I was homeless and had nowhere to go, a Filipino family took me in. I lived with them like a daughter, and like a sister to their children even though I was a young adult. I stayed with them for 2 years. I eventually met my husband in church, got a job, and live a comfortable and blessed life. I will never forget the kindness of that Filipino couple.

I must say this is a very good advertisement. I would like to relate to a real story from my country, Malaysia. It has nothing to do with an advertisement. It was about a politician whom during his life time was often looked down. He was so simple, humble. At height of his career, he was the Deputy Prime Minister, the no 2 position in Malaysian government then. He was challenged and ousted. He refused to be corrupted and therefore loss the post.

It's art style short film. I don't get it for reason for making it ad for an company. Usually ads are shorter than "Short Films" but they put "Short Art Film" as ad.😐

Me: doctor,doctor! Doctor: what is your problem? Me: I’m crying every time I looks at KZread. Doctor: Thailand commercials? Me: how did you know?

This happened to me a bit differently. Our late son passed away a few years back after 73 days in the Pead ICU. He was on the ventilator that period and also had a trach surgery. On the day we had to take him home (after exhausting all options), I was at the cashier by the ambulance waiting area. The printer kept printing on and on. At the end of it, the cashier circled zero and told me "Take your son home, take care of him. The government has taken care of him". I broke.

I watched this in one of my college classes three years ago. I consider it the best film with the most beautiful meaning the world needs. For me, kindness has no price, and everyone, no matter how they start out or where they end up have the ability to give without expecting anything in return. This story shows how a small act of kindness can have the greatest impact.

Brings me to tears, everytime I watch it. You never know when you will need help. Please be kind to one another.

A very touching video, and yes, it made me misty-eyed as well. Just to give people some perspective, the 792,000 Thai baht initially listed in the medical expenses equates to nearly $25,000, so the doctor most likely felt that helping the man who had helped him so many years ago was worth much more than any money he could have earned.

I watched so.....many times, almost year apart, watch again still tears coming even know the clip well !

Never underestimate an act of kindness. I’ve always believed in the saying that “what you give, is what you receive”, and this short film personified that. There are good deeds in life that are reciprocated with so much. Who you help doesn’t need a reference and when you help, you don’t expect something in return, but life may surprise you. May it be after a year, 5 years, 10 years or even 30, an act o kindness will change someone’s life and perception, it might even change yours too. This film is one of the most inspiring that I have seen. It does not just show a man helping a child or a child helping a man after 30 years, it is so much more than that. It shows genuine goodness that can restore our faith in humanity.
