That is a fair point. Problem is Canada's guards will when needed can break down anyone on the American team. Their drive rate in this Exhibition game was drastically lower then normal, because no one wanted to get hurt. Now that is also true for the US, mellow most of the game. This so called "Game" was nothing more then a run. From 8-12 US definitely is stronger then anyone else. Canada goes 8 deep if they play the US again with 7 and 8 getting maybe 15 minutes. Will that work, who knows.

You need guys like White and Holiday that will pressure the ball, play within the offense and don’t need a ton of shots to have a positive effect on the game. First line of defense that will use clock and give their opponents less time to get into their offense. This team has plenty of guys that can take their opponents off the dribble and create their own shots. It’s the defense and catch and shoot guys that are needed in the international game

@@curtiszyr funny enough I agree with that too. Older people definitely under rate new players and younger people under rate the stars of the past. Old people say they play no defense today in reality the shooters are more accurate and with the influx of European players there’s more talent than ever. Young people don’t give a guy like wilt credit because he played “plumbers” when in reality wilt played in a league where he guarded the best player on every team and vice versa because it was a center dominated league. They also only had 8 teams so the players were more familiar with each others game. Wilt and bill russell were both Olympic athletes who played 48 mins 82 games a year which nobody does anymore. They played better team basketball in previous years where now it’s more isolation style. Wilt also led the league in assists one year and had one of the best fade away shots in bball history. Wilt, Kareem, dr j, mj, magic and bird could play in any era same as many stars today.

Id argue the 2012 team is better than this years team. The current top the US Olympic Basketball teams are: 1. 1992 "Dream Team" 2. 2012 "Super Squad" 3. 2008 "Redeem Team" Where will the 2024 team land? Only time will tell.

So could a Curry KD Lebron team in 2 years from now so thats Bron over 40 KD and Curry at like 38 could they compete with the Celtics team filling in role players around them and on the bench

The media can not have it both ways. The fact that Jordan dominated those players you can not say who great they are. The Dream team in 92 played against lesser talent, and we know that. The Olympic team with Lebron when it was put together is better than the 92 team.
