I came into this unbiased, in fact I initially thought amber was the victim because of the initial allegations that got depp cut from pirates and that harry potter movie, and even then I could tell she was lying and exacerbating. Amber recording Johnny multiple times without his knowledge trying to catch him slippin and the bruise kit incident is too sus compared to actual physical injuries on Johnny. Every part of someone's personality and mindset is a result of their environment they lived through. I think Poki is trying so hard to be unbiased that she is biased. ATP you can literally draw your own conclusions of what went on based on the evidence. There is a lot of evidence AGAINST amber and not much in support. Along with the fact that she keeps lying. Poki keeps trying to justify(make sense of the things amber and her people are saying) Ambers side while also trying to disprove(giving amber and her witnesses the benefit of the doubt and how it could be tru even if the facts don’t seem to line up) Johnnys side, at least that’s what it has seemed like. That’s not being unbiased.

I don't know why, but when poki talks it feels like she's talking down to someone. Like she's a mom or teacher or whatever, speaking with a three-year-old. And then when she's stuck, and it doesn't seem like she's winning, she gets upset. She made some... decent points, kinda? At a few moments. I agree that we should keep an open mind throughout this trial, and if Turd actually provides solid proof of injury or abuse, we should believe her. (Doesn't mean we have to like her though, she'll always be a liar and a horrible actress) But defending that dude, that crazy 'expert', that was a huge mistake. An expert with that many qualifications and with that high of prestige CANNOT be making those statements and 'diagnosis'. It's irresponsible and reflects poorly on any institutions affiliated with him. An expert in a specific field of study is only an expert in that field of study, and should only speak on that field of expertise.

The truth is, it's insanely unlikely anyone watching is unbiased, being it's pretty hard to be unbiased into the first place. Everyone is biased one way or another, that goes for anything. Her saying she's unbiased is just an act and it's cringe to see her try so hard when she's clearly pro amber but doesn't want the backlash that might come along with it.

I don't get how Poki doesn't understand that it is irrelevant unless the claim has PROOF. It does not matter if you are an expert. You can't lock someone up because it was a likely "Chance".

In the end it doesn't really matter. It's defamation, Johnny has to prove he wasn't abusive at all, which is why people virtually don't ever win these kinds of cases. That said, the important thing is that the public knows she is a psycho (so is he to a degree, let's be honest)

@@top8505 she is biased and was basically defending her by minimizing evidence saying it’s not clear. Either she doesn’t know and shouldn’t be commenting or she knows but don’t want to lose so she is minimizing the events for her. There were more than enough clear evidence when it came from Amber’s own mouth. And lying about donation, lying about not hitting him, and the Kate Moss thing is next. Also the make up kit that she used in her testimony and doubled down by her lawyer to cover the so called bruises wasn’t even released for retail until way AFTER the divorce was final. It was released end of 2017. They made that shit up because there were no bruises. And she also slipped about using a bruise kit in one of the depositions. That specific bruise kit which is used to create bruises for her was in a picture taken by herself! It was the one where she took of Johnny asleep. I can go on and on. She has no solid evidence of him hitting her because there’s no picture of swelling on her face even though she claimed there were. And no make up kit can cover that. Also no one saw anything of that sort, not doctors, not police, no 3rd party that’s credible except people like her sister. She basically cannot prove it.

The evidence against amber is so vast that even if you remained central, you’d still fall considerably more on the side of Johnny. Poki going out of her way to make a case for amber when not fully understanding the case as a whole is more like playing devils advocate instead of “keeping an open mind.”

Anyone who’s on ambers side I just have to assume they haven’t heard or seen enough of the trial and evidence. I have hope for her.

I have and yet I don’t assume that johny depp is the saint here? Taking both sides into consideration is the best way to go with this case. That being said ambers case do not be looking good after listening to recordings of her conversations with him and the way she wants to escalate fights. I still think that johny depp has been abusive towards her and there’s proof of that as well, the incident when the police was called, amber was on the phone with her friend and he heard johny say something along the lines of “what, you want me to pull your hair from your skull again” or smth and then a lot of noise and screaming following. If you can’t take that into consideration or are dismissing this evidence then you’re the one who hasn’t seen enough of the trial

The biggest problem with Pokimane being "unbias" is that she's making her judgement off of innocent until proven guilty and believe all women. What evidence is she specifically talking about as well? The most damning thing Amber Heard had on Johnny Depp is the text messages (referencing Monty Python) and some audio of him calling her terrible things that, while bad, don't exactly seem untrue with everything she's done.

I feel like Poki keeps slipping into this take that Johnny has to prove he DIDN'T beat her which is really frustrating. Yes she will admit that in a court of law you need to be innocent until proven guilty, but then she seems to have trouble with this principle being applied in personal situations. That take is REALLY dangerous and leads to more harmful false rumors. The bottom line should be that not only in court but also in our personal lives, making claims and going after someone over a crime that you don't have substantial evidence was committed is wrong!

Poki just doesn't like the effect this case has on her own feminist agenda in public opinion. She gets riled up about people not believing abuse victims but refuses to believe JD as an abuse victim even with all the evidence pointing toward it being so. Instead she is basically going with the fact he isn't innocent himself and basically attempting with all her being to victim shame him and belittle the abuse he has suffered. It's very hypocritical.

I think people often forgor 💀that the onus is on Amber to prove Johnny was abusive not on Johnny to prove he wasn't. It's very difficult to assert a negative and bc of her oped claiming he was abusive she must provide the evidence and it is very lacking to say the least.

Actually you forgor that it's a defamation & libel case not a criminal abuse case. Johnny is the accuser in this case, therefore he is trying to prove he wasn't abusive in any form. Which is honestly close to impossible. To the point where the jury would have misunderstood why they're there if they rule for Depp. He objectively was abusive in some ways. It's more important that he has the public opinion seeing the whole story. And they're both crazy asf, they'll be back together in a few years, watch.

From my understanding she's already been proven to be the abuser, this case is just for him losing his roles and stuff like that right? To my understanding this is not a countersue by Johnny, Amber is actually countersuing his $50 mil for $100 mil if she wins. Most people considered Johnny the abuser before this case, as he hasn’t really had an opportunity to speak out on it before.

@@Tissuestrash no, in the uk it falls on the plaintiff to provide proof for why a statement is wrong, instead of the defense proving it’s right like in the us. now usually this means it’s actually easier to win cases in the uk. but because this case is super weird and a bunch of other biases and reasons, johnny lost that one. on top of that amber was able to use all his information and evidence, while Johnny couldn’t use anything about her

if i’m right he’s suing over an article she wrote a while ago calling him an abuser and such and she’s counter suing him. so if she can prove she was abused once the article about being a victim of abuse is valid, but if johnny can prove he’s never abused her he wins
