My high school banned them back when these came out and almost everyone had them. The school didn't want us getting to class on time. 60 seconds to walk down 2 flights of stairs and to the other end of the school. No one used their locker because it was impossible. When we had heelys, it was like a blessing. Like I had loads of time and I wasn't tired when I would walk into class.

Well, people have glued CD's to the bottom of their shoes, and even duct tape worked i think, but, all of us wear grindplate heelys, mostly Torch. It's definately alot easier that way.

I personally enjoy the fact that every "stall" and half of the grinds involved the "pro's" screwing up and putting a foot down, then stutter stepping three feet before jumping back in. christ, the grinds are basically just SOAPS, and everyone thats ever played with those knows how easy it is the slide cleanly.

So its a mixed between skate boarding and roller blading

It DOESNT take extreme balance to skate on flat ground, but its really useful when skating vert, and you have to have strong leg muscles to do more than 5 tricks... this IS hard though it looks very easy...
