@@RakibHasan-hs1me No. Money would become the leading motivation. Teachers would put insane pressure on students because it would let them be paid more - and students/parents would put insane pressure on teachers. Teachers should be paid more and respected, equally.

This stuff happened in ancient times with greeks and roman nobles fighting over the best scholars and teachers for their children. But of coruse when something is meant to be more mainstream it gets watered down. There are only 400 NBA players out of millions that try. Every single American kids gets an education...important yes, but not rare.

One of the KEY messages that may be overlooked here is how media can make the most banal affairs look incredibly exciting and glamorous. It's blatant testimony as to how dependant on media we have become to inform us of what to think and what is important; regardless of it's basic worth (or worthlessness).

it's not new india has large industry of cram schools and university entery test preparation centers and south korea has a major industry regading that. In fact there a kdrama about that industry. crazy love is kdrama that based around it.

Not a good thing in that case. Korean schools are oriented around tutoring, which significantly disadvantages certain students.

Teachers Unions have fought over and over again against Merit based pay and instead want it all based on Seniority which doesn't necessarily indicate skill.
