My schools were nothing like this. Teachers were bullies and let others bully but finding that special teacher was difficult.

I’ve got an idea how about pro low to go the kids mini iPads? With the kids covers on it the little kid covers. That’s not well you know what the kids cover on the back of the night plans right? And the ones that are behavioural just make him some calming down carts of what the Lake and what they don’t like like no hitting the teacher or stuff like that. The front to the common cards for busiest things in the back of the common cards should be no things. What I mean by that is put three yeses together and then three nose together did yeses yeah you’ll see the first thing would be yes please be calm. Your biggest fan from Guelph Ontario Canada TASHA.

the problem is not at the specal school. its when they leave and try to compet for jobs with kids with gces , and they finde that they become second class people in sociaty. so sad

They still teach GCSEs in special schools. The only time they wouldn't be taught that is if they have such a severe intellectual difficulty etc that they just wouldn't understand GSCE subjects. But all the kids in this video are capable of learning GCSEs and will be given the same opportunities as a mainstream school. What we really need is more vocational programs or colleges. There are some, like an intern type thing for those who can't do a university degree etc. So, they learn on the job how to do things like gardening, fixing cars and so on and often those internships have job offers for those once they finish the course. But there aren't enough programs like that, and teens aren't told about it being an option. People get fixated on going to university, even if that isn't the best option for them

I can only give my own example of being put into a special school at age 5 to 16 years old .by my social workers. . My parents were finding it hard to cope and were classed as having mental health problems.. the social workers speculated that I was too best put into a special school. At age 5. I went to Fairview School in Basildon essex uk .No child in this school took exams on leaving school. Including me. We all lean by observation of the other children around us. The school was full of kids ,who had been expelled from normal primary and scoondry schools , kids that were disabled some were that bad that they could only make noises when they were trying to talk. Others had real brain damage . I can remember some sat on their chairs rocking back and forwards all day. How could any normal child lean in an environment like that . The children at my special school just played each and every day. How can you expect a teacher to teach in an environment. Like that, too. The teachers at my school just gave up. And enjoed their twage at the end of the month, Special schools are a dumping ground for children as the main streem schools have to send children somewhere . The children that are holding up their classes. After all, schools have to complete with their grades . And no school wants a child pushing their school lower down the league table's I. Have no mental illness and am not disabled bodily in any way.. I was one of the normal kids who were sent to a special school school on a weekly basis. Due to getting behind with their social education. Because of bad parenting .. I have had a very, very hard life because without a basic education and exams to show to employers. Life can be very rejecting. And the person that is rejected finds it very hard to compete. So I drive an old car . I have a crap poorly paid job . Can not afford holidays . I have spent most of my adult life trying to catch up on educating myself as an adult at education classes. My view never send a child to a special school unless you wand to destroy their life.. very sad

@@aaasss1908 I have a much different opinion and experience, I firstly went to mainstream all the way through primary and 3 years in high school to year 9 (age 14). At the end of year 9 i started going to a special school slowly making a transition. To backtrack, my reason for going into a special school was because I was accessing no lessons at my old school and disrupting all my peers from working. My old school were good admittedly as they kept me for a few years even though I was TERRIBLE, they never expelled me though they just waited until I found the right school. I was also apparently welcomed to go back to my old school if things didn’t work out at my special one. I was also very mentally I’ll at that point, cutting myself and doing other dangerous things. My transition to special school was rocky at first since the kids didn’t like me to start with because they are the kind of kids that have to get used to your behavior first. I was atrocious myself at first and got excluded in my first week. Fast forward to now I am right at the end of Year 11, there are only 7 people in my class so it is a nice small group where the teachers can help all the students. I have made some very nice friends (some are still odd). And I fit in perfectly. I am much better behaved and now barely have a meltdown. I feel it is all to the with the special schools help. The teachers are amazing and I think of them as friends more than teachers. It is still a very formal environment and teachers are known by their last names, and talking about the GCSE sector of things. I am currently in Year 11 and in two months time in May 2023 I am taking 8 GCSE’s and hoping to easily pass all. I am taking (Maths, English Lit, English Lang, Statistics, History, Biology, Cambridge National PE, Media Studies). To strengthen my education next year I am going to a mainstream college at Hereford Sixth Form and studying (Travel & Tourism, History & Criminology), hopefully this will be a positive experience and I hope to work afterwards too at a nice payed job. I also get PIP so I get a free car straight from the showroom! This is proof they can be really good and work out, although I’m very sorry you had a much different and darker experience than me. (Also my parents are the best and so loving and supporting so I guess that helps too!)
