I imagine it's just that the 'good student' types tend to be a bit forgettable. They do their work, they don't make waves, they don't need to be called to discuss their results, etc. A more involved teacher would reach out to the troublemakers, try to connect so they can get them interested in learning and improve their education experience. In the process they might find that the troublemaker is an interesting person and sticks out in their mind in a good way.

My art teacher was a middle aged woman who was artsy but kind of childlike in a good way. She would give us art projects and do them with us or work on something she was already working on. She'd even pick a table and sit with some of the students. She sat next to me before and I didn't feel nervous about it. I couldn't picture her punishing anyone unless it was really bad.

fbspin not all of them, some of them seem like they might me ignorant, I have a teacher that is really nice but has tempers and is very ignorant, actually 2 (1 specifically hates me) (I’m a troublemaker and attended her gifted class for a couple of months, she hated me.) (and now she’s a supply at my school) regardless the one that doesn’t hate me got upset and told my friend to go back to his country and other such things (she was white, my friend is persian like me) and so that’s how she was banned from teaching for 3 months btw this is TDSB (Toronto) but yeah, very ignorant and egotistical.

I only have one person phones number that no one else has and that’s my Spanish teacher. She’s like my best friend! I miss her :/

I had this spanish teacher who didn’t spoke Spanish at all...I already speak spanish (European parents lol) but they just barely know “hola” and “como estás?”. Now I have french and my French teacher is just terrible. We never do anything just do work and work
