Love watching FDI lives but sound quality doesn't seem to be as good as in older videos. Is quite echoy ( is that a word?). Lovely flower arrangements. Always enjoy Michelle's videos.

Hello Jane! It was wonderful to have you on Live last week and we hope you will join us again on Wednesday. The AIFD preparation course is usually offered in May and it's called Designing for Competition & Evaluation. Here is the link for it: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/products/designing-for-competition-evaluation-may-17-19 If you have any questions about the course, please feel free to give us a call at 1-503-223-8089 or e-mail Leanne directly at leanne@floraldesigninstitute.com She or Teacher Michelle will be glad to speak you about it and explain what happens in the course. Thank you very much for spending time with us and for watching the show. We look forward to seeing you whenever you have the time to stop by, and we wish you the very best in all that you do!

I assume you can't bring your tools on an airplane because the airlines have been so strict about passengers not having any cutting tools in their carry-on luggage since 9-11? 😲

That's an excellent question, Djk0125tube! We have had success taking tools with us as long as they go into a checked bag. We always call the airline ahead of time to make sure it is okay to do this and to confirm any specific procedures we should follow. Thank you for watching Teacher Michelle in action on Live this week. It's always such a joy to watch her design and we're so glad you could join us for this show. Wishing you a delightful week to come and hope it goes well for you!

I love flowers and this FDI KZread page, but I don't like the sexist comments about why Michelle finds some flowers to be good ( referring to them as she) but finds difficult flowers or ornery aspects of Design to be masculine (referring to it as he or him.) I am not calling into the idea of gender neutrality or the such but broadcasting your thoughts about how a female aspect may be deemed positive and male to be negative is a juvenile and unenlightened way of thinking. Especially considering that many viewers, students, and graduates are male. We ALL have our faults, and it is not well received to perpuate these inaccurate personal perceptions of things in everyone's faces. It is the same old immature school yard mentality I had to deal with growing up that girls are superior to boys. I never once felt a particular gender to be better or superior to the other, then nor now. I love flowers and this wonderful channel but I am sure one would find themselves hard pressed not to take offense if things were stated the other way around. I think it would be appreciated if we keep it fun and non judgemental for the sake of all audiences.

Hello Julian Anthony and thank you very much for reaching out to us to share your thoughts. We do appreciate it, and it's a very good reminder to think about what we say and how we say it. We'll make sure your feedback is shared with Leanne and Teacher Michelle as well. Our apologies to you as we didn't mean to cause any offense, and we'll do better next time, we promise. We do hope that you will continue to visit us on Live to share the beauty of flowers and floral design and we look forward to seeing you then. Best wishes to you and hope you have a splendid week!
