In some ways better than the original Euro version. Orchestral obviously prerecorded and original strings were better BUT I actually prefer the lower key; better version.

this version was also performed in the *Rock the Roof* Interval act of the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest along with Lenny Kuhr's De troubadoor (Winner 1969), Mans Zelmerlow's Heroes (Winner 2015), Sandra Kim's J'aime la vie (Winner 1986), Helena Paparizou's You're my number one (Winner 2005) and Lordi's Hard rock Hallelujah (Winner 2006)

Т/с "Альф" стал известен в России только в 2000-х годах, несмотря на то, что сняли его в 1986-1990.

Помню их "Динг-Диги-Донг" и "Fly Away" ("Улетай !") еще с 1979-го, учился во втором классе, когда отец - заядлый меломан - принес домой пластинку "Teach-In". Здесь голоса уже постаревшие - но "как заводют, как заводют, шельмы !" :) Были ведь и у них и слова, и хорошие мелодии. Куда все делось ?! Сравните с нынешним "Евровидением"... 🤮

in fact that Russia last appeared on Dutch soil in 2021 is coincidential to me (Manizha-Russian Woman)
so to russia this is an 80s disco track, but to the rest of the world its a 1975 (dutch) eurovision song contest entry, 10yrs behind sounds about right as per tho i bet teach in wernt complaining in the the 80s getting royalties for old stuff :D

the actual USSR release of the album was in 1976. which indeed was lightning-fast by Soviet standards

@@gimble8638 and why should you?) that festival is an arena-wide lip-sync nostalgia party aimed at those in their 40-50's, and with nostalgia dates do get blurry - especially when it's a good offer for the band)

Так то песня из 70-х, как бы. Но у русских всегда отставание является нормой. Кстати, в 80-м они распались вообще до конца 90-х. А голос звучит Гетти уже конкретно ниже, но не хуже. И песня огонь, люблю её с детства. 37 годиков.

Тональность, всего на один тон ниже. Это -нормально и современные звёзды очень часто меняют тональность исполнения на более низкую, даже в студийных работах.. Ну и записаны два голоса в запеве.
