I have been teaching at native camp for 4 years now. The remuneration depends on some key factors. We have booked lessons and sudden lessons. Booked lessons pay more than sudden lessons. Booked lessons for native speakers is up to $9 for 25min and for non-native, the highest is $2.17 for 25min. sudden lessons for natives is about $3 for 25min and $1.54 for non-natives.

Hi thanks for the informative video. I recently found out that Native Camp's payment options are only through PDI or BDM which are Indian and Philippine based banks respectively. If you're planning on teaching online while living in South Africa ,how do you actually set up an account online to recieve that money?

Hi there. You need to create a Payoneer account to receive payment from Native Camp if you are not in the Philippines. This account will be linked to your bank account, Payoneer will do a verification of your bank account details. Unfortunately however, you will only be able to cash out or withdraw funds from your account when they get to at least $100.

By profession I am not a teacher so regarding the demo lesson what should I do in the video? Is there like certain steps that i should take?

Yes, in the demo, you need to stick to the provided lesson script. What's amazing about Native Camp is that the lessons are scripted, and lesson plans are already available on the platform. You need to watch the 3 videos that show you how to handle each stage of the lesson and do exactly what's shown on the videos in your demo 😉

Hi there, do you have to market yourself on the platform? or do get assigned students based on your availability?

You open your availability and some students will book once they know you, but in the beginning stages you just log on and wait for available students to pick you on the spot when you are online. If they don't pick you, then you don't get to teach 😬

Hi Ruth, once accepted on native camp, how often do i get booked by students? Are student bookings guaranteed?

Hi there! Student bookings will depend on how many students view and like your profile. The good news is, there are also standby lessons where you just log into the platform and wait for students who are looking for teachers to do an immediate lesson with them.

Once you are approved, students will view your profile and book lessons with you. If you have no booked lessons in the beginning, you can do stand-by lessons, which just means logging in to the platform and making yourself available to students who need a teacher immediately

Hi, once you completed the application and got accepted. Do they ask you to send an image of your passport as part of the verification process? I recently got accepted and i am stuck at this aspect of my application process.

Hi there. Unfortunately, a passport is the only verification of identity that they seem to be accepting. As an international company, it would be hard for them to confirm the validity of your national ID.

Hi Zizo, so I'm just starting out, can I open 3 hours and just wait? They also sent me email about free tag and incentive bonus. I'm a little confused. When you startout do you just open the slots and wait? By hourly rate, I mean how much in USD per hour for each lesson or is this dependant on learner ratings?

Hi there. Working hours are flexible as classes are not allocated or guaranteed. You need to log in and open your availability, then wait for students to pick your profile for immediate classes while you are waiting online. They call these "standby lessons". I hope this makes sense 🥹 I am not sure about the hourly rates, please confirm on the website ✨️

No, I haven't opened any slots yet. They did send an email saying that I should start as soon as possible and offered an incentive. Not sure about this platform...so I'm still weighing it up.

I have applied on Native camp, now I have to thoroughly prepare for my live demo lesson because they were not impressed with the first one.

Hey Anele. You don't need an S.A. bank because Native Camp makes payouts using a platform called Payoneer. It's similar to PayPal

The demo will be scheduled for a few days after you pass the test. As far as I know, it's a live session with a mock student. It's not an upload

I was told that South Africans get paid 2 dollars per hour, are you sure about 9 dollar or you are using the google information

I should have clarified that everyone starts off at around $2, not just South Africans. $9 per hour is the max someone can get once they qualify for all the bonuses after teaching for some time on the platform.

Oh no, I am so sorry about that 😮‍💨 As far as I know, a passport is the only confirmation of identity that they accept because they are an international company and they cannot verify the authenticity of your national ID
