Tea Talks: There's more to the Shaolin Temple then just the practice of Martial Arts. Enjoy some conversations and exchange of thoughts between Buddhist knowledge and modern ideas.
The next Retreats will take place on:
· 28. June - 1. July 2020 (4-Days): The Mindful New Normal
· 28. September - 3. October 2020 (6-Days): Happy Buddhist Retreat
· 26. October - 31. October 2020 (6-Days): Happy Buddhist Retreat
Every year there are several retreats that are taking place in the Shaolin Temple Europe 歐洲少林寺, the monastery where I am living.
A retreat can either be a 3-day Retreat (Friday - Sunday) or a 6-day retreat (Monday - Saturday). Every retreat is held under a specific topic, such as: Gong Fu, Qi Gong (e.g. Ba Duan Jin, Yi Jin Jing, 13 Luohan), Meditation retreats and Rou Quan retreats.
If you are interested in joining any of these retreats, please take a look at all dates that are published on the website of the monastery:

Hi there, I just love tea time! 🍵 It’s a very interesting topic, that epigenetics suggests, our genes are affected or a result of your parents surroundings or their personality or reactions to circumstances. Although I have met some very unique people who are nothing like their parents. Perhaps some children or some people’s reaction to stress is not the only thing that can define a person in totality. STRESS is known to be the enemy we are trying to avoid. In any bad circumstance we usually go to places in our own being, in our spirit that perhaps are from some sort of shield of the past. Its a really interesting topic.🍵 -Totally agree that mindfulness of your feelings of oneself is very important 😌

Thank you for this talk, I learned something new, escpecially this part about genetics is very interesting. The only thing that confuses me is how would you define mindfulness, what does it mean to be mindful? Because ( after brainwashing myself with Echart Tolle :D) the words conciousness or awareness resonate a bit better than the word mindfulness. As the latter suggests your mind being full or something like that, and i believe it's quite the opposite goal :)

Thanks for the comments. I define mindful is being in the present moment, wherever you are, watching your thoughts and making sure you're not judging what's going on. Those judgements came from somewhere in your past and aren't saving you.

It's so tiring to listen when you 'ihim', 'yes', 'right' at every two words. Can you just listen and maintain quite? 🙏🏻
