Loved this, hoping to see Leno and Repulse converse in the future as Leno gave off father-like vibes towards her hear I felt. Also Barry was, as ever, hilarious but also surprisingly a moving character. I do thoroughly enjoy watching you progress as a writer and am very thankful with how far this series has come. Also pretty sure those over at the BashMash will be fuming with how their beloved Green Arrow has been portrayed

Great to see Repulse once again, even if she's disguised as Leander. Certainly hope that Repulse will one day return to the Dark Railway, but im surprised that if the other engines know she's realy Repulse wearing Leander's identity how she's not yet been returned to her own 5725 Repulse identity. With Leno's reaction what will he do as unless told by the others he's likely to tell the others back home. With regard to Carnforth shed though the building is very different to that of the normal WCML over Shap route.

Its explained why repulse can't use her old identity in the last episode of session 6 or 7 if i remember right.

Wow! Barry actually showed some intelligence! Was not expecting an appearance from Repulse. Excellent episode.

Barry is by fair probably one of the best and most influential characters in The Dark Railway Series (and by far the funniest lol)

Once the DR has its connection back Barry should come back in BR lined black also Repulse should also come back and scare the piss out of the others

THAT WAS ABSOLUTY FANTASTIC !!! the storys of how everyones getting on on other railways is superb I first fort caricus was a bit harsh to barry however seeing the end piece was just amazing ..absolutely 10/10 for this one tom well done !

I don't normally comment much but I really really enjoyed this episode. I did love the criss-crossing over to different lines and seeing what everyone else was doing. Filling in the universe as it were. Great job as always mate, will be watching more as usual :D

Be interesting if this is included in series 10, im certainly hoping we see more of Repulse in the future and so far in S10 we havent yet seen Caracus or Barry.

Of all the episodes in season 9 this one is the most popular and it's not even set on the DR, certainly hope more like this is made for season 10 as it would be good to see Caracus and Barry working more at Carnforth alongside Repulse maybe with another DR resident or pair of engines like Dave & Hannah.

Since Leno knows he will likely tell the other engines at the DR as he's not been asked to not say anything. I can smell a plot-twist as Repulses owner finds out the truth and then he'll breaks out between him (Likely Brian Oliver, owner of Leander in real life at the time) and Caracus Smash.

The Railway Children film starring Jenny Agutter (Bobby), Sally Thomsett (Phyllis), Dinah Sheridan (Mrs Waterbury), William Mervyn (Old Gentleman) & Bernard Cribbins (Mr Perks) was released in Dec 1970. Because of how successful the film was for the 1971 season they had to start running 7 coach trains with a 2nd engine ready at Keighley to speed up the run around. It was in this year that the loop at Damems was installed meaning two trains could now run. This season is set in 1975/76.

SPOILERS! Wishful thinking, but I hope Repulse somehow sorts out the Dark Railway problem, allowing her to come back, due to her help.

I think iv just spotted a goof in the video as the cabside number on Repulse while dressed as Leanne and is passing through Keighley says either 5669 or 5699, that last digit is deffinately a nine but cant tell which way around the 3rd number is.

The real life Scots Guardsman, Mayflower & Leander iv traveled behind on the mainline. All with a run over Shap (both north and south with 45690, but northbound only with 46115 & 61306). Guardsman and Mayflower iv also been over the Settle and Carlisle line with (both ways with 46115 but only southbound with 61306). Unlike these in the video where they are in LMS and LNER colours iv only had them in BR colours: BR Black with 45690, BR Lined Green with 46115 & BR Apple Green with 61306.

what route did you use for Carnforth MPD

In Train Simulator the route is the West Coast Main Line over Shap. This version however is modified from the original as the shed is different compared to this, if you watch episode 1 when Caracus has arrived at Carnforth you will see what the shed is really like. Im actualy in the process of making an edited version of this route myself which I do hope to publish on the Steam Workshop, it's gonna be a while till it's published though as around 3 months in it's still not finished.

Well, okay then. I wasn’t expecting Green Arrow, 61306, or Scots Guardsman. Did you know that Mayflower was actually 61379? That’s why I tend to refer to the preserved Mayflower as 61306. Anyway, doesn’t matter. I was wondering if I could reference Green Arrow from time to time in my own heritage railway series and how much of a pompous twat he was/is, even before he was preserved?
