ABBA said it correctly - "The History Book on the Shelf, Is Always Repeating Itself!" Join Cody as he becomes the Emperor of France in this solo book game from Worthington. Will it conquer all it before it? Or should it just abdicate now? Let's watch!

These book games are little gems! I’m looking forward to more of this style of game from them (and of course your reviews of them!). Great review. It’s good you pick out perhaps the most important aspect of the game. - that it is fun to play. We should all play games to enjoy the experience.

Indeed. Thanks a ton!
Playing Napoleon is great! I feel like either side could win especially the games of hardest difficulty. But playing Wellington was disappointing, I just kept winning with little effort. So I made it more challenging for Wellington to win by modifying the BOT rules for the French. I added to French BOT roll of one: If Prussian have 2 units on game board move one French Reserve unit to reinforce I Corps. Then the given "4 Prussion" option and the "otherwise" option. I added to French BOT roll of four: at the end: BUT, If there is only one Guard unit left after the attack move the last Guard unit to reinforce I Corps. I also add to the French BOT rolls of five or six that after the Cavalry attack: if 3 Cavalry units still remain move one to reinforce it's adjacent Corps. (Dragoons could dismount and use their muskets :). Lastly I changed the BOT 6 roll on the "Tactical Events" to remove 2 Allied Infantry units rather than just the one. Finally it was fun and quite challenging playing Wellington too! Enjoy from Virginia!

Cool!
I live in the UK. My last purchase from Worthington I had to pay $50 shipping. Not with this - it was free shipping through Amazon. Interesting that the last page of the book states "Printed in Great Britain by Amazon".

Interesting indeed. Thanks.
They should have used those flexible magnets on a metal page. Got Tarawa after your review…fun 👍

I do. Very fun game.
Am I correct in assuming that the pages in these Book Games are not Dry Erase pages? If not, how many games can you get out of one Book?

I believe with this one it’s twelve French, Twelve British. However, Worthington has released this title as a boxed board game.

Er…. Yes.
Saw another reviewer (Prasutagus The Orwell Wargamer) recommend using an acetate sheet, so you can use dry erase markers.

I've heard that. May have to check it out.
I am playing this with meeples as little soldiers instead of marking in the book. It's really enjoyable.

Good plan.
This feels like a great chance for me to try out a worthington game without commuting to $75 for my first game 😅

Thank you! Fantastic review - but please, it was an Anglo-Dutch army, describe it as mixed British-Dutch (plus some Germans) if you must, but not an English army. There was a 'Britain' then and not just 'England'!

Perhaps its time for you to buy a color printer?
