Tour de Fleece: Day 6 - First Finished Skein and other random progress
* My first finished skein, 400 yds/110 g of Cormo, combo spun worsted using 2 50g braids hand dyed by A Lair Artifacts, destined to be socks or a hat
* Progress on my long draw drum carded combo batt featuring raw Shetland x BFL wool from Small Bird Workshop carded with hand dyed Polwarth top and undyed alpaca top from Myrtle Yarns
* Talking through my bobbin management and showing my half-done progress for my 2 braid 2-ply fade using hand dyed Polwarth and Rambouillet top from Bramble Ridge
* Chatting about my first foray into supported spindles and failing miserably at showing off my novice skills 🤪
Each video I post during TdF will hopefully cover a different aspect of my spinning process so it’s not just me rambling about the sane thing over and over. :)

Team Stashdashers
For the 2nd year in a row I’m on Team Stashdashers, hosted by Melly Knits on Instagram. Melly is THE BEST, she hand processes wool fleece and cards up the most amazing batts. There are 300+ of us in the team this year and our only rule is to spin from our stash! #stashdashers

Tour de Fleece runs alongside the Tour de France, and it’s a 3 week period where us yarny spinners have fun spinning as much as we can! It’s definitely a sport but it’s all about having fun, sharing and learning.
