So a check/cheque is something you can write to pay for something, and he's saying that he pays for his mistakes with reality checks, meaning he faces consequences later on when he fucks up. He did, but i hate how people call these freestyles. There are very few that ever do real freestyles anymore. This is simply a dude rapping written lyrics, over someone else's beat.

@@jaseallenson316 this is not true. Read up on the subject. In the beginning freestyling was never about improvisation - it got confused with that in the late 90s when the battle scene took off, but if you’re talking truly about “back in the day” the OGs wrote all their “freestyles”

The fact that an 8min video took me an 1h to watch cause I kept rewinding. The flow, the bars, the delivery, the storytelling-immaculateeeee.

one of my favorite bars, especially because i see it as a double entendre; regardless of exactly what it was supposed to mean. as in "I carry that kind of love in my heart that you’ll never find” = i have more love than people will ever know, and even after being hurt, i will still be my loving self. which is very hard as a human being. or the other being "I carry that kind of love in my heart that you’ll never find” = i have so much more love than you know, because i've been hurt too much to show it anymore. both i relate too, and as different as they are, they're almost one in the same. straight bars.
