i attended the church for ten years and was practically raised there at potter’s house. i worked backstage and saw things that most people would be surprised take place. some people who accuse jakes of certain things over the years like taking the members finances for his own personal gain and etc i know to be false. bishop jake’s gave me a scholarship to college back in 2016 which i’m forever grateful for but after all the things that i witnessed while being there, i wouldn’t be surprised if some of the allegations were true

Truth is, many of us in ministry place a lot of emphasis on ministering right, but not as much attention to living right. It's the "living right" that is the real ministry.

Even the very appearance of evil is to be avoided. All of God’s children should remember this truth.

He's displaying the mannerisms of someone that did something. TD Jakes is always cool, composed and collected. In these clips, he's rattled. Again, if you're innocent of something, there's no reason to keep rehashing something you don't want to talk about.

Accountability would actually de-frock them from ministry & cause them to “make redress,” in any Abrahamic religion, strictly practiced. Doctors have a practice. Musicians have a practice. All held to standards of evaluation for credentials as well as credibility. Religious “practice” patently & materially remains so subjective as to exist in virtual chaos & in constant conflict with other religions in the USA-concept, stemming from its European colonial concept usages of “religion” both as a power base & as a foil for wars & acts of war. Religious practice has little evidence, if any, of ever having actually been put into practice in the USA-concept as any sort of governing dynamic-or even concessionary dynamic-between people. Otherwise, Injustice, Disparity, Mass killings of entire villages, enslavement, etc. WOULD have been tempered-in some tangible way-by a preponderance of “religious people/religious communities,” historically over time. Yet that has never occurred, never was legally inscribed. Religious practice, since the age of Televangelism, for all proven results & intentions, currently is primarily an Entertainment venue, broadly speaking. It doesn’t matter if it’s true or not. He is in the situation he is in because he started going to celebrity parties for either sex , money or both. I knew he had a problem with fame and money when he allowed Tyler Perry to speak from his pulpit and then lay hands on him while he catches the Holy Ghost. I never looked at him same after that. I had no idea he had previous molestation accusations and pay offs till recently. I do know that my pastor going to these parties with Puff Daddy isn’t a good look so that opens him up to all types of accusations. He did this to himself either way and this is sad.

I have interacted with TD Jake’s when he stayed at the hotel I was Managing in Cleveland (The Intercontinental)when he was the keynote speaker for Bishop J. Delano Ellis’s home going. I saw things that at the time didn’t mean anything. In hindsight I believe he’s guilty because his entire entourage were gay men. I mean openly gay not flamboyant or disrespectful but not hiding. I believe he’s guilty.

I'm going to say what the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:33.."Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.” This is the Spirit of Truth guiding him into all truth to reveal this is what's happening. As believers, we've been commanded in 2 Corinthians 6:17 that we're to come out from unbelievers and live separated from the way they live. To not touch their filthy things! In other words when we're hanging out with the world we become contaminated by the things they do. Period. This is God speaking!

You must remember paul was dealing with ppl steeped in their sin who were new believers he had to preach separation first !! The disciples were prepped taught and changed in Jesus presence for years… They were ready to go into the world. He also says Luke 22:31 when thou are strengthened , GO STRENGTHEN THY BRETHREN! How is the church going to affectively influence the world if it cannot go into ALL THE WORLD? Content matters here. If we r to be like Jesus… PLEASE REMEMBER HE WAS ALWAYS HOLY EVEN AMONG THE SINNERS , BRCUZ HE WAS ALWAYS AMONG THE SINNERS COMPELLING THEM TO COME!! He above all was prepared to go, as should any believer be prepared!! ( consecrated, wise, strategic and holy ghost filled) so u can affect the world snd compel them to come!! Some of yall will never influence a dinner becuz u have no power! No disciplines to seek God for an anointing to win souls! THIS IS SERIOUS!!!! … fyi a pastor is a Shepard! He Shepards the flock for Gods sake! Even Jesus addresses this in Revelation … behold i will come unto you and remove your candlestick the Angel ( pastor) from thy presence!! If Jesus can give reference to a pastor as an Angel, its not far fetched to not see He would understand a pastor referencing himself as Shepard! Again… GOD IS THE FATHER, THE SON, THE HOLY SPIRIT! WATER, STEAM, ICE! ALL DIFFERENT FORMS OF THE SAME SUBSTANCE !!

We are NOT to conform to the patterns of the world. I go into the world daily letting my Light so shine so men can see my good works and my Heavenly Father be glorified. I don't go into the world to participate in the unfruitful works of darkness. I encourage you to seek God about this and yield to His Spirit to guide you into all truth.

I am not a huge TD Jake fan, but I respect what he does. I don't agree with everything he says as I don't agree with everything you say. I think it's sad that you're even committing and analyzing what he said. He's going through a tough time, whether it's true or not. What we should be doing is praying for him and praying that the truth comes to light. Please don't kick someone when they're down. No one would like that to be done to them.

Eddie Long never said he didn't do it. He danced around it. Jakes said in the Clip he didn't do it. Big difference. When all the evidence comes out, we will know if he lied or not.

@patreese4616 I used to watch his sermons, then I started noticing a very disturbing pattern. I noticed that about 90 percent of his mentees have serious character flaws-all types of indiscretions, with an obvious disregard for the Word of God. One of his mentees, Pastor Chris, who was previously in charge of the Potter’s House in Denver, was so blatant with his indiscretions. The man cheated on his wife with his own godmother-a child whose wedding both he and his wife officiated. He then went on to divorce his wife, marry the goddaughter, creating two broken homes. He now calls himself pastor of another church in Denver. TD Jakes stayed quiet throughout that entire time, as he usually does with all his mentees. The Bible says you know them by their fruit… That man’s fruit has been rotten for many years. Hence, I would not at all be surprised if these allegations turn out to be true.

I've never known him to address anything in the past. I wasn't expecting him to address it. God knows all things and if any of it is true it will be revealed.

I’m not taking a TDJakes side at all, but sometimes when a person says they don’t care what people think, they mean it. Whether the allegations are true or not, Jakes has to answer to God not us. All the dramatics are just that…dramatics. The heretical blasphemous doctrine he and his daughter preach is the main concern.

I’m always amazed how people who call themselves followers of the Lord but don’t read the scriptures, if this man did what the word says he wouldn’t be in this predicament. I think that he needs to say he is good so that he hears it. Psychologically, it helps him remain stable. It's part of the sermon..

My problem is that he said "even if it is true, all I have to do is repent anyway." And then he edited that part out for the online video. That is highly sus. Even if it is true... He could have left that out. He just made it look like it is in fact true.

Repentance for what exactly? why does it seem like you have already passed judgement on him?

All he had to do is provide a brief expression of "It's not true" to those who look to him to be the man of God that he claims. His failure can cause others in his church to stumble. It shouldn't but it could. I would've simply said "Ladies and Gents, it's simply untrue". I would've said I was in error for allowing myself to get to close to the things of the world and I'll seek the Lord for my failure... But he sounded like he was seeking comfort or reassurance from his congregation.

People need to stop assuming how they would respond. For years I responded to lies against me until I realized people actually believe you're guilty when you respond. It's like being damned if you do damned if you don't. Now I don't respond because I know the truth comes out eventually, however, depending on the circumstances I can't say I would never address certain things.

As I watched Jakes explaination yesterday I was very uneasy 😔 . It sounded like a guilty man's playbook. If you have ever been deceived by someone you cared deeply for, his comments sounds eerily similar to what a man would say if he got caught with lipstick on his collar. 1. I don't care what you think 2. God knows how good I am 3. Start to Cry 😢, get emotional 4. Make jokes about your peen not working while comparing yourself to Abraham. 5. Insult the people they accused you of being with by calling them freaks. 6.Tell them what you did for them, how you never wanted this life. Make them feel sorry for you for being extraordinarily targeted. 7. Change the subject....to a security threat that you were concerned about all week. 8. Cue in supportive wife on a cane. 9. Pray for the people and compare their ordinary everyday situations to your mega scandal....because of course we are all in the same boat.

I feel for the congregation especially if they’ve had hands laid on them. Discernment is so important even if you’re in a church you love be on guard for the wolves in sheep’s skin

I've really reached a point where I'm not surprised with any rumors. - just because I've been in the church as a musician, and seeing more behind the scenes for my whole life. And I try not to get involved with the gossip of individuals. But I DO speak on the bigger picture, and the bigger picture is that the whole mega church/prosperity gospel culture is going through a reckoning. More people are finally stepping away from taking offense to critique about what and who they love, and are actually seeing different things for themselves - one of those main things being seeing their heroes (and some would even say "idols") fall from grace. Not that every single one of us doesn't have things that could get us in hot water too, but I think it's about how we handle certain situations and certain topics. If a preacher can preach a deceptive "gospel" to you, what makes you think they can't deceive you in other ways too?? That's just where I am these days. From growing up, knowing that so many of our male Gospel singers are homosexual, to knowing that so many of our preachers and pastors are freemasons, and everything in between. NOTHING surprises me anymore.

​How can one claim to be so close to you and you've rubbed elbows with this man, and still continued to deal with him? You're a prophet, but you didn't see his dirty deeds or receive warnings about it. The more you talk about what you're called to do Jakes, the bigger the hole gets, because then you have to explain why you didn't see this coming. Prophets have the Holy Spirit and go look up who the Holy Spirit is and what comes with having Him. Jakes said he was a prophet, right? Why he couldn’t see who Diddy was or what he was doing. If a prophet can’t recognize evil, then he is a false prophet. So, he’s either lying about being a prophet of God and is deceiving his congregation, or he’s lying about Diddy, or both. Either way it’s not good. Thousands are following him.

I agree with you, but I also think he is addressing the audience to ease their anxiety. He can see it on their faces, as well as feel their unrest.

He sounds like he’s trying to comfort himself through the reassuring response of the congregation,his words are designed to buttress his own insecurities against the possibility of a growing threat, he seems somewhat unsure of himself and there’s a sense of urgency along with uncertainty about events that’s spiraling out of control and it’s not going away….. he showing signs of anxiety and a little bit intolerant as the situation becomes unmanageable….time is against him..

One thing about some of our preachers, they are very effective at using their voices, words, and expressions in an attempt to distract people from the issue at hand.

I love the humble way you presented this video

Hopefully, the rumors are a lie, and this is just a wake-up call to believers that we can't continue to have fellowship with darkness and aspect to keep a good reputation.

@@Golden_writes550 John 7:24 tells us, "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." The Bible has told us to judge, but we are to judge by what is right. We are not to condemn, and we are not to be judgmental. Rather, we should make evaluations. We should be discerning. We should express our opinions on right and wrong, truth and lies, good and evil. In fact, the Bible tells us, "Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?" (1 Corinthians 6:2).

Either way this comes to light that its true or not. It breaks my heart . The sermons that have come from pastor Jakes through the years have been so impacting to my life and Christian walk. I pray to God the truth comes forth. Because either way damage has been done . If its all a lie, then the lie needs to be put to rest once and for all!

As a pastor and if I was accused of this, I would have said what they said I did was a sin and them that do homosexuality are lost and need to repent , I’d preach against the sin of compromising and i would preach against these people that love the lifestyle of perversion like P Diddy and the likes of him and others participate in and why of all the times I’ve heard Td Jake’s preach this is the only time I’ve heard him cry ? This was a red flag to me although I shed tears when I preach also but it was just strange that he cries when it’s about him and not my lord

TD Jake's let fame get to his head. I attended his congregation and was baptized there prior to all this. Very different atmosphere.

His entire approach is problematic and shows there is a huge lack of accountability within the potter’s house walls! He looks insanely guilty and this does remind me of the Eddie Long situation. But my bigger issue is the people in his cult I mean congregation…. He could say “Jimmy cracked corn” and they will be jumping up, screaming and shouting in agreement as if he just gave a profound statement. Some people are used to playing church and lack wisdom and discernment. It’s a mystery to me why these churches are so packed every Sunday! Study for yourself and get to know God on a personal level! Wake up! Keep up the good work pointing this foolishness out Corey!
