Great review! Sports mode for sound is the sweet spot for me , switching the intelligent settings off and enabling atmos. I bought this mainly for the sound and not disappointed once I got the settings right. Picture took a while but once calibrated (I used the THQ iPhone app) it is sweet. Agree with comments on remote and menu shortfalls- hope TCL refine these with some software updates. I found that google home wasn’t responsive to voice when I first set up- took batteries off and pressed any button for 10s and batteries back in- now all working fine .

hey mate, this review was great. I have this TV for about three months now (55 inches). I just love the Onkyo audio. It is just AWESOME. The channel separation is great. I have sidelined my Denon soundbar as the inbuilt TCL Onkyo audio is just great for my bedroom. 120 hz VRR is great for newer multiplayer titles and the Mini led screen is amazing. For $1500, I think it was a great deal.

Hello, How has your experience been so far? I am thinking about getting it for gaming. I was interested in getting the LG C1 but that is quite expensive here in Pakistan so a friend recommended this and I am wondering whether to get it or not. I saw it on display in the TCL centre and I found that the colours had a strange whitish tinge to it. I do not know if it was due to the settings but it seemed good but not that great to be honest.

Thanks for your video, was the deciding factor of me buying this tv, did you ever find a solution for the sound? I completely agree, not quite right was the perfect description almost every other reviewer kept mentioning how good the sound was, and I was not! I’m not sure if it’s because I’m used to Sonos Sound bars, but it’s definitely software related issue with the inconsistent sound. Let me know if you have found a good setting for the sound or another solution?

  • @TechManPat

I havent found any good setting, and I ended up getting a Sonos Gen 2, its definitely a software issue, and TCL can fix it, because a BlueRay player played back sound on it that I thought was great.
