I watched this film when I was 14 and on holiday in Takaka, New Zealand. In a sort of Sunday afternoon 'I'll go and see this because its on at the movies' sort of way. Man, was my mind blown that day.

Im proud of my gypsy race and our ppl.. true survivors.. and the creator blessed us with musical talent ... alot of gypsies that i know who become one of the best musicians they didint had a music teacher .. just like this ppl that we see here .. they learnd playing instrument like this they put in music that they like pick up a instrument and they play it over and over until they can play it clearly in a short time they become like a professional musicans with out music techer just by listening to music .. now thats what you call talant

I've worked by myself... My way of working guitar it's to listening gypsy songs by Django Reinhardt or others musicians (Dorado Schmitt, Tchavolo Schmitt, Birelli Lagrene, Stochelo Rosenberg, Angelo Debarre...), try to understand what they do and reproduce it by myself...

Cette musique qui joue au rythme de mon coeur depuis tout petit✨ 🥺✨plus le temp passe plus je me demande si je n ai pas du sang manouche ou sinti tellement cette guitare et ce violon qui chantent me parle me donne des frissons a en avoir les larmes au yeux tellement c est magnifique ! Respect a tout ces Musiciens qui n ont pas pris de cour de solfège qui ne connaissent pas les notes ou accords mais qui font chanter les instruments mieux que personne ! Merci 🙏❤️ que dieu vous bénisse

Yeah, those gypsies are fantastic, I love Schmitt brothers so much, Dorado & Tchavolo... They are always playing, and playing, and playing and that's make them number 1 in the world of guitar music! Dorado is from my hometown in the north-east of France called Forbach.Here he's playin violin but his major instrument is the guitar.He's also a pretty good singer and composer!

But: he plays the guitar like a violin. So maybe he should stick to the violin. Not saying he plays bad, but tchavolo is much better at the guitar and dorado at the violin. Just my opinion.

oui ce sont des sinti il y a plein de bons violoniste et guitariste vers les sinti je suis moi-même violoniste mais je trouve quelque chose de un peu dommage dans la communauté il y a pratiquement aucune femme sinti qui s'intéresse à la musique et qui n'en joue publiquement ce sont les femmes Non sinti qui jouons de la musique Sinti publiquement toi qu'est-ce que tu dis de ça? Moi je trouve ça dommage!

@@calilafertin8455 vous avez raison, la plus ancienne photo sinti des années 1850 montre des femmes sinti avec des guitares, probablement chaque famille l'avait pour elle-même, que les femmes jouaient de la musique ou non. mais une chose est que la plupart des Sinti vivaient dans un matriarcat où les femmes étaient armées. Toute la culture Sinti souffre énormément des effets de l'Holocauste, notre culture et notre langue souffrent, par exemple je suis le seul Sinto indépendant qui crée des vidéos en langue Sinti.

Par contre c'est très intéressant ce que tu as dit Les Sinti vivient dans un matriarcat avant la guerre c'est bien ça? La famille laver pour elle-même c'est-à-dire?

Bcuz you said this are sintis as if they were not gypsies.. or you just said the tribe name ? Or if you guys dont consider your selfs gypsies than where are you guys from ?

@@djfrankie7586 Nobody is a Gypsy. We are proud Sinti and I know those men because I met them at a Sinti Festival and they have Sinti Surnames. We Sinti never will be Gypsies and never will be Roma. Sinti is not a Tribe its ethnic people
