Oh my gosh…this just makes me go back to practice. Extraordinary incredible performance. Who could ever think Tchaikovsky VC on the flute is possible, and even at this level!?! Matbay, as well as Denis Bouriakov, these Russian flutists are out of this world🎉👏👏👏👏👏👏 Thank you for letting the world know what the flute is capable of.
Wonderful. I'm losing the sound in some of the low register articulation. Just a little. But this guy is absolutely fantastic. I also love his fellow countryman Denis Bouriakov. 2 great young men.

If it helps you, I found out adjusting my phone's equaliser and wearing nice headphones makes the audio much clearer for any classical music :)

I HATE transcriptions but I have to admit this one works really good, except for a few spots, it is easy to forget that the violin was the intended recipient. Another big argument to love this transcription is because Tchaikovsky had already composed a flute concerto, everything was in his head according to a letter... but he died a week later and we will never know what the concerto was going to sound like.

Well played BEAUTIFUL even. But its so hard to hear the flute. I think Tchaikovsky had it write orchestrating it for violin. The emotion and the dynamics can't project over the orchestra with the flute (and yes I am a flutist! and have always wanted to play this. Maybe better with a piano???

Not having perfect pitch it doesnt bother me and F works better on the flute than D

@@pauljackson1029 I’m sorry for you if you can’t tell the significant difference in the key even without having perfect pitch. Imho this piece sounds much worse in F, especially on flute.

Обертонов нет у дудки ,флейта только коров пасти,скрипка и баста .

Флейта по факту по звуку В РАЗЫ богаче скрипки, в разы разнообразнее струнных инструментов как в динамике, так и в игре и технике и ее прекрасной музыке, как и все духовые, мне очень жаль, если вы действительно так думаете. Вы не имеете право критиковать даже пол на этой сцене
