the atomizer is the best in TF2, but the worst in TC2

the cold shoulder always felt like it rarely effected me after getting snowballed, maybe people are just predictable, im not sure. (i didn't even know about the leaderboard bug) but i rarely end up using it, i mainly find myself using the sandman or wooden sword more often. i agree with the point here, that yes it's usable, and works pretty good on *most* players. but of course it isn't the best flanker melee, far from i'd say. it's not the worst thing you could pick, and i think that's all that really matters. fabulous work dannst, i always love seeing more videos from you.

I think the marking effect on the enemy is also great. if you can use it on an enemy you wanna fight, from a perfect distance, the mark effect will last long enough for you to catch up and kill them. its a perfect weapon for a map like harvest.

One of my favourite videos from you. I always called the cold shoulder “The Empty Slot” and most of my negativity came from its release and how they treated the weapon. Honestly unlike the blood doctor which I use all the time now, I used to dislike it before I tried it again. The cold shoulder now sounds like a great weapon after you explained it and the only thing that ticks me off after this video is that GOD DAMN LEADERBOARD GLITCH (As someone who also uses a server-clearing bat I can confirm that 35 damage with crits under 25% health is not bad and is very fucking good)

I use it on my flank based loadout as a last resort to running away since i use the bloxaide to quickly move my way through a flank route quickly

If you combine it with the Lemon Blade you can wipe an entire team if you get behimd them

You NEED TO DO a video on the concealed carry + blood doctor combo. I tried it with a random flanker, we got 3x as many points as everyone else.

I think a big reason people call the weapon bad is because its effect is less noticeable from your end than something like the wrap assassin or Sandman where it's a lot easier to tell you got a kill at least faster or easier than you would otherwise because of that projectile. With the cold shoulder, that is a lot less obvious.

torpedo tube was good, outsnipe the snipers. And cold shoulder have your good points of being a flashbang, but they won't see me coming anyway

Underrated weapon

In a vaccum, no the cold shoulder is not that bad. But compared to the rest of the Flanker ranged weapons, you would be better off with the wrap assasin than the cold shoulder. Also I would like to point out that the footage you show for the cold shoulder helping fight a Brute he is using his SHOTGUN, not his minigun. And talking about blinding effects in videogames, yes the Blooper is a shit comparison but that doesnt mean that all blinding effects dont work. "Throw flashbang" *Ringing* The flashbang in cs:go WORKS. and I don't mean it occasionally works, it just works. not only because it covers the whole screen, but it also fades away at a fixed rate. The cold shoulder does none of this, it only covers the middle of the screen, it goes away really fast, and it doesnt last very long compared to the flashbang.

Tbh i think the reason why people hate this thing is probably they cant hit sh*t with the snowball🗿

Idk the cold shoulder felt more like a gimick rather than a useful melee I rarely see anyone use it and when I do I just shake it off like it never happened I never bothered in using the melee at all because the sandman and wrap assasin exist one weakenss the enemy and the other is just burst damage to kill light classes faster the cold shoulder is a gimick that I won't bother in using at all

bruh, no way the sandman on tc2 actually works, i mean, there no strafe mechanic that invalidate completely the stun effect (i just noticed)

The cold shoulder is pretty much up to whoever uses it whenever I use it i just send the enemy i hit with the snowball back into the respawn que People who say its bad are hypocrits,because of the reasons mentioned in this video The skill cap on using it is basically endless

I don't know if this is just me, or not but whenever I got blinded by a flanker, I still won the fight. Not cause of damage over time, I just still shot the bitch. Overall I still think the weapon is in a really good balancing state, it being 1:1 to stock in terms of damage and everything (That 20% Slower Deploy does next to nothing for me at least) makes it a direct upgrade from stock in my eyes. Maybe give it a small melee damage penalty or remove the 25% Crit stat. Then I'll probably use it more. But I'd rather use my strange Handyman, since running at people with 9-27 damage melee hits is funny, since I have to work for my kill and not swing a bat at someone 4 times.

I just always look to the left of my screen whenever I get hit, or y'know, use more than 2 braincells and think about what my opponent would do. It's a lot easier to think about what a Cold Shoulder user is going to do because of their poor decision making to actually use the Cold Shoulder, lol.

Taking someones eyesight aint to bad. Use it to pump shots into heavies freely. Watch soldiers and demos flounder about. Cripple pyros. Remove a sniper for 3 seconds. Drop kick scouts

Your opinion on the how effective the cold shoulder’s blind is the same as your opinion on how much of a hindrance the blooper ink effect in mario kart games is, this is undeniable fact because the effects and screen blockage areas are roughly the same size and shape, and being able to see is equally important in the two games. I’m not going to state my opinion on ether and watch as the flame war in the replies gets worse and worse as both sides try desperately to objectify the subjective topic of how well someone can perceive their surroundings with a partial screen block in spite of the fact that different humans have different levels of environmental awareness and thusly are effected in very different ways from individual to individual.

P.s. Mario kart Wii’s blooper is not an apt comparison nor is what many people think about when they think of the blooper blind effect, they think of the Mario kart 8 blooper effect which is much more comparable to the cold shoulder’s blind than the Mario kart wii blooper effect. Also the mini map doesn’t tell you where bananas and shells are so no that isn’t a reason for it being useless.

Good video I just don’t like you compared every range melee weapon for brute like no shit slow on brute is like bro he’s already slow as fuck he almost a sentry lmao just make it more compared to other classes then brute like an flanker or trooper Another thing yea it blinds marksman very well and it does help but I rather have a flanker slowing the enemy for everyone to hit their shots ez so instead of he can’t do anything for 3 secs cuz he blind it’s he can’t do anything cuz they dead I know you could kill those who are blinded but I just think slow is much better and yes the damage helps if you have only you and another teammate to help you kill the target if you 3 it won’t matter probably but come on don’t always rely like that or I would rather have a flanker with the WA being able to kills single targets better again I know blind does this but the bleed makes it so you makes marksman retreat and I thinks that’s just better WA I think is definitely better then the weapon in question but the sandman for me I think it’s better as long you have at least a team not even a decent one tbh as long as they know to shoot a person and how to get close but I can see why many say that the cold shoulder is better only for marksman and for those spamming troopers and annihilators from long range it’s outclass that’s what it is I know that you didn’t say it was better then them two but I guess my point is that I see why people think this weapon is bad I thinks it’s way worse then the WA like way worse and it think the sand man is better in most of the situation’s cold shoulder is better then The wrap assassin and the sandman for vs brutes and that it’s WA is better in all other classes and the sand is better for 7 classes and if you want to I can explain why they are better then the cold shoulder vs those other classes but if there is one thing we can both agree on it’s definitely not bad not at all

the cold shoulder is getting nerf for some reason and its getting worse like i been using that garbage but good melee weapon alot but 0.5 chance at the time like you throwing a snowball is RNG. how you asked? my friend and i tested the could shoulder is something new to this unholy nerf when i hit the snowballs like 20 times he doesn't see the snowball effect i was genuinely confused as fck but 21 time he saw the snowball effect that i thrown so combine a stock with just a reskin stock bat of a fcking stick with a snowball getting terrible rng chance to get enemies get a snowball effect and nothing happened its just terrible rng like compare the The Sandman and the Wrap assassin they dont have rng effect bullshit throw mechanic like the snowball they actually function well. overall i used to like cold shoulder without the bullshit rng but now its so bad is it worst than the torpedo launcher? No its worst than cold shoulder but thank god they remove that abomination of a rocket launcher
