I went there late 80's flew balloon for 21st birthday of American owners son. Got pictures of the one remaining lift plus chap fueling and stoking the central heating coal fired boilers. Walked the doramatory wing, found a cleaner bath and ran a bath of fresh green lake water, hot but green.

I remember going to this in 2008 when me and my family went to Kenmore and I just remembered that it was run down and had a chain link fence all around it. It looks like its in awesome shape right now. What a good renovation!

Exactly! I was there around that time...same situation. Didn't get to go inside, so this video is very nice to see.

James Forret I was a student there in 1970, when the castle was a school for a few years. It didn't have all the fancy furniture but everything else was the same. That bookcase in the video is actually a hidden door. The handle is under a book- end titled " the secret of the hidden door." That was our study area. Very interesting place
