Closure is actually the most important song on the two albums because of its meaning. The albums are about unsteady relationships and the man usually dictating where the woman goes/feels. Closure is about women taking their power back. And that’s powerful. There’s not a lot of songs out there today that sound/have the lyrical depth of closure.

She's talking about the "current" as in a type of movement water makes, and also "current" as it relates to a type of grape. Wine is made out of grapes, so she's using the word "current" as a play on words to tie the two topics of water and wine together, creating a sentence that makes sense, but also a hidden meaning!

I was playing this song while my daughters were eating cinnamon rolls for breakfast this morning and my 3 year old was already headbanging while she was eating but at 2:17 when Taylor sings "Every bait and switch was a work of art", my 3 year old goes "Yes it is!" in her high pitched, mouse like voice. 😂

The production in this melts my heart

yes its like maturity and reflection....the bitterness has gone and mellowness and wisdom has replaced it. Like a sequel to some of her earlier heartbreak songs.

I feel like if “Tis the Damn Season” and “Invisible String” had a baby, this would be the song. Anyone else?
