This is what I thinK aIMee should do (if she wanted to save face) - acknowledge the song, acknowledge the negative rumors, admit that things should’ve been done differently or not at all, and praise Taylor, not only for her talent, but for how she handled the situation, as a woman and a young artist/celebrity in the industry. Then she should apologize for her behavior and be thankful that Taylor was able to make something beautiful out of something traumatic.

This is an anthem because everyone's has had an "aIMee" or even let's say an "Adam", for example, in their lives.

It's so encouraging to see someone giving back to all the bullying she got! Not many including me have the courage or the platform and I'm so glad at least someone has the courage and talent to give back for all the pain she received! More power and love Taylor❤

This song is so inspiring because in our past, we were always told to move on and forgive, even when we were the victims. This song showed me that it's totally okay to not forgive, and at least, why should the victim be the one to feel bad for being bullied and mistreated?

We have all had some version of Aimee in our lives. I felt like this was Taylor being subliminal but yet letting us relate to our own personal bullies growing up too. Aimee ends up in humiliation in the end. Always.

"Your words are still just ringing in my head, ringing in my head" This line hits the most as a victim of bullying. Those who don't get this song and said that she should move on... I envy you cause you don't know the feeling of being bullied. That wound will never heal. It's a scar for life. You just don't get it.

She posted an edited video clip of a private phone call which resulted in the entire world “cancelling” Taylor. The hashtag “TaylorSwiftIsOverParty” was literally trending on twitter. Do you know how many people have to use a hashtag for it to be trending? A LOT. Then a few years later, the full video was leaked. It proves not only how Taylor didn’t approve part of the lyrics, but also how Kim edited the clips so they were out of context to make it seem Taylor was cool with everything. Because of all that Taylor moved to London & didn’t do interviews or speak publicly for almost a year. And then when the full video did come out & it proved that Taylor didn’t lie, NO ONE apologized to her. Not Kim, not Kanye, none of the media outlets or news companies that dragged her name through the mud. No one ever said sorry, even after Taylor has said how badly that affected her-it’s still affecting her even today. That doesn’t just go away, even though she overcame it and is insanely more famous now, more so than she was then. But it still cut deep, and it happened. Taylor has every right and reason to still talk about it, because it happened to her, and it affects her still to this day. Plus this song is essentially thanking Kim bc like she says in the song, had that not happened, we wouldn’t have the same Taylor Swift we do today. We wouldn’t have reputation, or many of the songs after. She most likely wouldn’t be *as famous* as she is now. You asked in your comment “how is this healing” - since she’s still bringing it up… yes, talking about it, or in Taylor’s case, writing/singing about it, is part of healing, even if it’s years later. Taylor speaking her truth & letting her bully & her fans know how it made her feel but also how it made her heal, is part of healing. Healing doesn’t happen by keeping it bottled up inside. Taylor has every right to bring it up for as long as she wants, and as many times as she wants to. If Kim has a problem with it, then maybe she should have thought about that before she lied to the entire world while making Taylor look like the bad guy. Maybe she should have apologized when the truth came out. Had that video never leaked, Kim would likely still be playing the victim acting innocent & still calling Taylor a liar. So yeah, that’s how this is “healing”. Kim is still the bully, Taylor isn’t bullying Kim at all, she’s just speaking her truth. She’s letting the world know her side of the story, and what that did to her and how it made her feel about herself. Because, again, part of healing (especially when it comes to dealing with bullies) is letting the bully know what they did to you & how it affected your life & emotional/mental state. It’s learning how to stand up for yourself & let the world know you won’t be pushed around & lied on. Its crazy how i've suddenly become a Taylor Swift fan. Im more into Indie bands, rock, dance, hiphop but my 7 year old daughter ADORES her!!! So now, so do i. Also you don’t know how Taylor felt about it, it was her experience and clearly it hurt her badly enough for her to still be writing songs about it. There is nothing wrong with a victim of bullying taking a long time to get over the pain their bully caused them. Or not getting over it at all, they don’t have to if they don’t want to.
