Its crazy how amazing Taylor can write a song everyone knows the feelings to. I was in a 4 and half year relationship that i really thought would turn into marriage. This described that relationship for me exactly. I tear up when i listen to this song, thank you for capturing this! 💖

The wordplay here is just 😍 And in a blink of a crinkling eye I'm sinking, our fingers entwined Cheeks pink in the twinkling lights (Tell me 'bout the first time you saw me) I'll drink what you think, and I'm high From smoking your jokes all damn night The brink of a wrinkle in time (Bittersweet sixteen suddenly) I think Chaucer would have been pretty well pleased with this - the imagery might be 'High School' but the poetry and the way it "keeps the beat" so perfectly across SIX lines, certainly ain't!

we need the lightness or we'd explode if all her songs were of the same intensity. even Dylan did everybody must get stoned as well as like a rolling stone. a variety of gems is a good balance...

Taylor is the whole package; incredible ballads like this, and also fun upbeat songs. Songs like this are mind-blowing and sad... we need lighthearted fun ones to dance to!!
