I did too. It's ingrained in women to feel odd about compliments. I don't wanna get into the how's & whys. But I used to say "no I don't." If someone said I was pretty. If someone said "I love your shoes" I'd say something like "oh well they're just from Walmart nothing special but thank you " & yes I understand what you're saying. I dug deep on the psychology of it & now I automatically say "thank you! That's so nice of you! Made my day." Some variation of fhat...,& it comes natural now. I just had to start making myself respond like that. I started with just "thank you. That's so nice of you." & I did it over & over again...it physically hurt cuz it felt so weird. But then one day, it didn't. & it was natural. Feminine energy is receptive. Sits back & allows in love & compliments & is not resistant to it...willing to receive it. Self love. cuz we are the nurtures of the world & we cannot give the warm love & nurturing that we are meant to by design, if we don't think we are worthy of it too. She is LETTING people gift her with the love they want to gift her with. When we do as you described, (& its exactly how i was too)it breeds resistance...& we can't align with the goodness that wants to find us. Be receptive to the love & compliments people give...cuz then that turns jnfo self love & gives you more love to give to people around you which is the fuel necessary to be in that sacred feminine energy which also opens you up to divine blessings in general. Give it a try for a while & watch the shift happen. I'm going to post something of Ariana Grande when she knew she was about to be complimented. Prime example of how we should take a compliment.
