SAME! Folklore is the first Taylor Swift album that I've listened to in full, and I became a Swiftie after that. Went and listen to her entire discography from debut to Evermore and I regretted not becoming a Swiftie earlier. Fun fact: My top 2 Taylor Swift albums are Reputation and Folklore, which is weird because both albums are sonically polar opposite.

I actually think she was heartbroken when she wrote this one, maybe they took a time off, it connects to paper rings, they obviously worked things up

They say Taylor has a weaker voice compared to other singers, but I can't even sing her songs as graceful as she can. I've never heard any covers or anyone who can sing her the exact way she did. People need to appreciate the way she's singing differently amazing.

"I asked the traffic lights if it'll be alright, they say I don't know." Traffic Lights was invented on 1923. It tells the car drivers on how they should move according to it's color coding. Green = Go Yellow = Slowdown Red = Stop The song is about being stucked from letting go and holding on. In this line, she decided to depend her answer to whatever color the Traffic Light would give. If it's Green, she'll completely let him go If it's Yellow, she'll have to move on slowly If it's Red, she should stop thinking about him. If Traffic Lights aren't working properly, it'll lead to Car Accidents In the song, even the traffic lights didn't know what to say. So she ended up crashing like cars, and torn from a thousand cuts.

Taylor wrote this song because after watching the movie it gave her nightmares. She could not stop watching it. She worried that she would not be able to give Joe her time and commitment given how busy her career can be when she starts a new album, promos, interviews, press interviews, photo shoots, world tour, ect. I am pretty sure that she hates saying goodbye to him every-time she drops him at the airport because it will be months before she sees him again. This has got to be one of my favorite songs on the entire album.

This song is genius. The way she translates anxiety instrumentally is GENIUS. The beginning of the song is that panic of when you get that text “we need to talk” and then you calm down but on the drive there the anxiety builds and this song perfectly portrays that musically. GENIUS!

The bridge of this song bridges the gap in my heart and takes me to heaven.

I feel like this song is for the anxious. The song doesn't point to the events of the past, but acknowledges the anxiety of losing the person who you're deeply in love with. The anxiety which makes you think, imagine, and feel things of how it'll be like saying goodbye to the person you don't want to say goodbye to ever. This song is so romantic for me and I'm not sure why. Maybe because its the anxiety of losing someone you don't wanna lose- may it be a friend, family, or a lover- that I, or maybe a lot of peolple, really relate to.

I hear my heart breaking

Somebody told me that this was maybe one of the least liked songs on the album because people don't relate that much, but when you relate it hits soooo hard because you can literally feel the pain through the music and lyrics, and I believe it's true. My native language is not english so the first and second time I heard it, it wasn't even in my favorites but then I payed attention to the lyrics and I swear I felt as if something broke inside me and I listened to it at least 30 times in a row. It is just an amazing and beautiful song and my fave in the album 💛 it's the first time since my heart broke that I feel understood and I'm so grateful about that.

I can't relate to the lyrics at all but this is my favorite, the first time i listened to this, i knew this was gonna be my fave. It probably has to do with all the emotions taylor put in to singing this. I really felt how sad this one is.

I can't relate to this song, I've been in a happy relationship for a couple years and this song hit me Soooooooo hard. I cried like I never did in my life when I first heard this song the day it came out. I still cry everytime and it's my favourite from this album and one of my favorites from her.

The way she said “one for the ages, but if the story’s over why am I writing pages” I felt that in my soul!!!!!

For me it's Red :) I still think that's her best underrated album.

These lyrics totally blew me away.. I love how she can capture the most complex emotions in her music, it makes me feel so understood :,)
