She can sum up an entire love affair in a 3 min song that can be performed in multiple ways and somehow every time you hear it even if it's the 30 millionth time you've listened.... it's your new favorite song. 1 of a kind Ladies and Gentlemen...Bravo, Tay Tay.

Her lyrics. Wow. You can say whatever you want about her. But she is truly an amazing songwriter. When I listen to her music I can picture the story in my head. Not many artists can do this to me. She is one of a kind.

Green = Go Yellow = Slowdown Red = Stop The song is about being stucked from letting go and holding on. In this line, she decided to depend her answer to whatever color the Traffic Light would give. If it's Green, she'll completely let him go If it's Yellow, she'll have to move on slowly If it's Red, she should stop thinking about him. If Traffic Lights aren't working properly, it'll lead to Car Accidents In the song, even the traffic lights didn't know what to say. So she ended up crashing like cars, and torn from a thousand cuts.

@Alexandra Cryan Cruel summer is most overrated from this album but it is an amazing song. I don't think "I think he knows" gets the love it deserves.

I just finished watching her concert on Disney + and she Sang so beautifully and was so well spoken ( she mentioned something about how when she is songwriting , she sees songs as memories which she looks back at like nostalgic photographs so she gets transported back to that moment she’s thinking of) and I love the fact that she explored singing some of her songs acoustically , not only did it express what a talented artist she is, but also developed a deeper connected with the audience and herself. She truly is phenomenal. And I hope she sings more acoustic songs in the future , in my opinion, I just “hear” what her message is more and just connect with song and she totally slayed it like she always does !

I wasn't a huge fan of this song before, but then I was at Arlington night 2 of the Eras Tour when she played this and now I am OBSESSED. This version is WAY better than the album version. I wish I had enjoyed it before so I could've sung that amazing bridge TWICE with her, but I guess I can say Taylor herself inadvertently introduced me to this song, so that's cool lol

this is considered as one of the underrated songs in lover but it's my favorite ever since i heard the whole album. this song is ace. i know someone would feel me on this.

This is a lyrical masterpiece !!! Everything is perfect the lines, her voice, the music.... Acoustic and Taylor are a great combo !!!! ♥♥♥

This is the best song on the album without a doubt and the line “if the story is over? Why am I still writing pages?” Literal chills

“Gave you too much but it wasn’t enough” this whole song hits hard and it’s perfect.

This is one of the best songs ever written.

That line about asking the traffic lights and they not knowing is so absurd and yet so true. Amazing, amazing songwriting there.
