Miranda, there are parents who love their children, believe in them and would die to help them see their dreams come true, but there’s this thing called,”money” and not everyone has it. Taylor’s parents BOUGHT HER CAREER! It happens all the time. At 11, she had a CD. Have you any idea what a simple CD costs? $15,000.00 might, but not likely. Also, there are usually other children with dreams, so how do you choose between them? I know psychologists who would say it would be very selfish and spoiled to expect to be put above everyone and everything else. It’s not reasonable or fair to suggest that a parent selfishly shuts down the dreams of their children! I know some of those parents and children. One last note: there really are artists who pay for their careers with more than money! That’s a little hint.

I bet those people who turned her down are really sorry now. *Them*: Whatever. It's just a little girl. Then, look what happened. *Them now* : Damn, we're idiots.

No, they actually orchestrated and moved mountains to make her successful. They paid for singing and acting lessons in NY while living in Pennsylvania. They hired a guitar teacher who owns a recording studio at his computer shop. Parents paid him to helped played a few songs for her while she sang in her first demo tapes. They used the demo to sent to record companies and talent agency. They even built her a professional website and MySpace music page to make her official. They hired a talent manager to get her into the industry. The manager was the one who was able to get her signed to a music publishing company. Her dad also moved his while entire family and business from Pennsylvania to Tennessee just so Taylor could focus on getting a potential record deal in the country music scene. Also her dad has connections and business investments with her first record label she signed with. Even til today her parents are still her advisors and you will see them with her help her with business related issues. They knew what they were doing. Even her former manager said her parents are marketing geniuses.

@@rosanaconta3416 Yes rosana, her father was a stock broker, as you love to point out. But he didn't write her songs, she did. And he didn't perform them, she did. Her father only put in something like 2% into Big Machine initially. But take any talented young artist; they nearly always need a some investment in them from somebody to get some success. That somebody could be your parents, or a record company, or a sponsor, or whoever. Just because somebody's investing in you doesn't mean you are not talented, in fact it usually means the opposite - they are investing in you because they see and believe in your talent. Ultimately the public loved her music, her lyrics and her image .. and that is the ultimate democracy and validation of her success. So suck it up ....

Taylor's parents are very supportive, and now everything paid off.

Amazing. She actually worked hard to get to where she is. She didnt sign with a major record label, she wasn't discovered by a major celebrity, it was all her. No gimmicks or flash, just talent, heartfelt talent.

I think what I admire the most about her is that unbelievable determination of hers...God do I love her

i dont have child hood videos of me singing (i could sing very well ) cause my school never gave me a solo and all u can hear is the other kids screaming (literally) in the videos they knew i could sing every morning i sang the ntional anthem which i sing VERY loud and VERY good it wasnt cause they were concerned about my shyness cause they made me talk by myself (almost drove me insane with fear which THEY KNEW i was terrified of talking why did they think i didnt have any freunds?) my parentsw knew about my singing too and never bothered to enroll me in our local theatre or record mme ( even thougyh my dad records EVERYTHING) i was too aqfraid to ask for anything i wanted from evil teachers in kindergarden and preschool my mom hearde them yelling over ridiculous things AND STILL didnt take me out
