Yeah, but she's also really happy right now and healed from the experience (as far as we know, based on her music and current relationship). She's moved on and she's said so herself that her fans have changed her experience with her music so I think when she sings this she thinks of us and doesn't feel pain from the relationship she's moved on from

Im not even a Taylor Swift fan, but this is an aboslute banger!

As a recent novice listener - I made the comment that I felt this was her best written song - just over Back to December. I appreciate the repeated narrative of the scarf and the change-up of the lyrics for the chorus - and then the rehashing of those lyrics in the final few lines - just masterfully done. Musically - the steel pedal guitar and the thunderous piano on the bridge - just incredible. I would have loved to sit in the production booth of this song. Big kudos.

I love how this is one of the re-recordings that maintained the original mood the most. I mean, you can tell it’s still emotional after all these years, even though she’s healed. It’s not so much like she is visiting a memory but reliving an emotion. You can tell it’s already in the past for her, but that it has left its durable mark. It’s def one of my favorite re-recordings so far!

She's a lot more mature now, there's a certain power in her voice that I can't explain. That's why it's her own version, because this is her exactly now.

10 min version is the greatest written piece of art and hurts a lot but this right here hurts wayyyy more to me like so much I choke up sometimes maybe because the story was incomplete here the wound was so fresh and she was so hurt that she couldn't even compete it. The 10 min version puts a closure to this story coz she has now finally moved on and honestly its so healing and powerful

This is how it feels loosing the one that gave you the best version of herself and you blew it...

The animation is crazily detailed! The trees were lively at the beginning but starts to wither and decay as it progresses, just like how the song progressively gets more heartbreaking at this one-sided relationship!

I have gone back and forth listening to both versions and the 10 Minute version is just a true masterpiece. Don't care nearly as much for the guitar strings in this version and the whole mood of the 10 minute version evokes so much more depth and emotion.
