People say she’s being dramatic cause she wrote a 10min song about a short relationship but it’s not about how long or short a relationship is. It’s about what that person made you feel during those times. She fell hard fast and there’s nothing wrong with that. She was young. I actually think it’s easier to write a song about a short relationship because you can focus on those moments because those moments are so brief they have more meaning attached to them. It actually makes it easier to make those moments even more dramatic. Not that that’s a bad thing🤷🏼‍♂️

Taylor Swift has earned my respect. I went to Eras with my two teenage daughters. I wanted to support them, thinking I would need to silently endure the experience. Instead, I was blown away by her -- the enormity of her talent as a singer, performer, and show woman, but even more so her extraordinary talent as a songwriter and poet. Her lyrics are samples of modern poetry at its finest. She lays bear her soul for everyone to see (and hear!). The images she paints with words are ravishingly beautiful. I sat through almost 3 hours of songs and never once regretted my decision to 'support' my daughters by going to see the movie It was a wonderful experience

I’ve never really paid attention to her until she started talking to my home team TE. I’m 67, grew up in the Seventies and my favorite singer is Robert Plant. I got on KZread and started watching her videos, and now I’m a fan! She seems like a really cool and nice young lady and we love when she comes to Kansas City. This song and “Antihero “ are the first two songs I’ve checked out and love both!!! ❤

My favourite singer by far was Robert Plant, too. The guys vocals are outstanding. But I am impressed by Swift. I can't think of any modern artist, male or female, who composes and sings her own material, who's style changes from one album to the next, and who has remained popular for two decades. She really is one of a kind.

probably the reason why the 10 minute version isn’t boring to listen to and to watch the performance is that the song has a story to follow, it’s like taylor’s telling a story in a way that she’s just singing it out. not to mention the fact that the lyrics are damn painful and relatable.

It's a refreshing song while we're in the midst of famous main pop songs that aren't... as meaningful. Most songs rn are famous because of its beat (I'm not saying that this is wrong but that's just making this stand out more. Not to mention, this is a literal lyrical masterpiece).

I describe her best songs as being steel hammers wrapped in silk. You know what’s coming and you brace yourself but her artistry, the silk, slips past your defences and then the hammer hits you in the heart and soul. And she does it every time

I'm a 67 year old man, I've been in a lot of relationships and this song had me crying for 8 minutes of it, been on both side of the story. I am amazed by her.

This is easily one of the greatest songs of all time. The songwriting is unreal. This song makes you feel her emotion (which in turn become yours) whether you like it or not. She is unique that’s for sure. This song (especially 10 min version on the album) is an unabashed masterpiece. Wow.

Same! When I very first listened to this, I'll admit I wasn't as impressed. I guess I was expecting different lyrics. But, I watched the short film and ever since then, I can't stop listening to this version. It's almost like I can't listen to the 5 minute one, knowing how much added depth the 10 minute holds. There was so much left unsaid when it came out in 2012, and the 10 minute version somehow makes the song ten times more mature, and showcases more of what went on behind the scenes. I don't think I've ever heard a song so tangible. The tone of the song, and the way she sings it lets you actually FEEL the story and you can feel what she's feeling. And sadly, that tells me just how much worse the relationship was than we all thought before with the original version of the song.

This 10 minute version has been wanted for so long and she’s giving all of her. It’s such a masterpiece, just like we thought it would be. RED IS A MASTERPIECE.

Taylor will give 2 shows 9th & 10th July in Zurich = 2x45'000 fans. By way of comparison, Paul McCartney gave just one great concert at the same place playing all the songs of the Beatles. I love clear & luminous voice of Taylor.

Count me another fan. I've never paid 30 seconds of attention to her until the last couple of weeks but I've watched a bunch of interviews and YT videos, just started listening to some songs in the last few days. I'm stunned at her creativity, humor, authenticity, compassion, strength, courage, and the way she is turning her love of life into an incredibly powerful inspiration of a life for so many, including me, a 66 year old guy. Brings levels of hope I wouldn't have thought possible from someone I had always written off as a teeny-bopper bubble-gum pop star. I've never disliked her, just simply never knew who she really is. I'm deeply impressed with her now and wish her (and everyone she touches) many blessings onward.

That reminds me of her “i am the man” music video where there is a younger woman who is marrying an older guy and it seems like she is a gold digger bc of a GIANT diamond on her finger. I think it points to how when a younger guy dates an older woman he is never seen as a gold digger, but when it’s a younger woman dating an older man she’s is almost always seen as a gold digger

Even with the imperfections that would have been edited out in a studio version, this is the best to watch. The break added in the middle is perfect, as is the a cappella ending. Her acknowledging the background singers is another mark of Taylor's charm. Taylor always knows where the camera is.

Exactly. In these types of relationships there's gaslighting, but also just -- in retrospect -- the realization that THEY weren't really there. They live such a fake, manipulative, exploitative lie of a life that you don't really know who they are, what they are, if they were ever as present in those moments as you were. BUT, you can say you were there--really loving, really experiencing, genuinely giving a shit: YOU were there. You have to honor and respect that about yourself and lovingly mourn what you spent and lost on someone who didn't deserve it. You don't have to undervalue it and dismiss it and act like it didn't happen like the other person. This is a song about honoring your own real emotional, physical and psychological experience, independent of how much anyone else wanted to acknowledge it.

Taylor's relationship with her people reflects so much as I noticed that the back up singers are the same people that sang with her back then.

What a fukcing masterpiece! The song spells pain straight for 10 minutes!

TAYLOR SWIFT proved that she is an exceptional showwoman with her Eras Tour performing all over the world. “All Too Well” is my favourite song with its a capella coda. In this song also called "Sad Girl Autumn", there is a rock spirit. And to think that Taylor Swift comes from the country side of America. The progression of her artistic career is remarkable.

What makes this song so iconic and relatable is the fact that almost all of us have experienced a scenario of being gaslit in a relationship and being told that “it” wasn’t real, wasn’t a big deal, didn’t mean much, etc. when you know it WAS something special, something different. It is such a unique and horrific pain to have those feelings invalidated by another and Taylor completely captures that emotion with her lyrics.

This performance is huge. The lighting how it goes back and forth from reddish tones to bluish tones is symbolic. Same as the video. You’ll see the tones change. When the love is magical and intense it’s red…. when it’s painful and falling apart it’s blue. It’s interesting seeing the different tones pass over her face. No doubt she directed this performance.

So many layers, her perspective, her parents perspective. This is heartbreak in words that we will never be able to find ourselves. The best version, so real and raw. I will always come back to this, so brave and confident.

I can't believe it, but I now am a 68 years old man. I have been on both the giving and receiving side of this story. And I too remember all too well. What a performance and what a song.

Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Tool, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Jimmy Hendrix all had songs longer than 10 minutes so...I'm just saying, it's not like a record. Plus, if an artist can do an hour+ concert, I'm sure a 10 minute song is not that big of an achievement for them. js

This song hits straight to my heart because the exact same thing happened to me. We fell in love and we were 9.5 years apart, 22 and 31. We were together for 3 months non stop and something (he said it was age as well) happened where he started to pull away. He finally did the no call/no show thing and we broke up. Then for two years he was in and out of my life until I finally said I couldn’t take it anymore. He is the love of my life but it didn’t work out. Every person he has ever been with since then has characteristics that are like me, almost like he is trying to recreate what we had. It has truly changed who I am as a person over the last 15 years and I wish I could go back every single day to who I was before I met him because the heartache is enormous. I think there are some things in life that you never get over and they hurt just as much at 100 years old as they did at 22 years old. ❤

I felt this. Same thing. I was 22. He was 31 and I was just so in shock that HE would want me that I was so submissive and would let him blame me for stuff that just didn’t make sense but he must’ve been right. We did the back and forth thing for 5 years. I forgave a lot of shit from him cause I just wanted him while he threw things in my face every chance he got. Tried to get me to turn on friendships he said weren’t real (still friends at 33) and just would shatter my soul. One thing about aging is that I realize I needed those lessons to know I will never make myself dim or small for anyone or not stick up for myself and speak up and not accept the gaslighting.

Her artistry - I understand that her music might not be everyone's taste, but everyone should be able to acknowledge she's an artist on a stellar scale. This whole thing is gorgeous.

The fact that she still did her iconic head throwing thing just like her Grammys performance, but subtly....time flies 🧣

Those are the people with the softest hearts, the greatest minds, the most giving of hands. Taylor Swift captured that simple truth in this song, and I cannot possibly thank her enough for it.

I just spent the night with my ex and we talked. It was freeing. Cause I am one of those people who feels everything. I pick up on small details. They simply weren't weren't realizing how much the little things, that they didn't care about were the ones that actually mattered the most.

I'm an older guy who generally does not like pop music... but Taylor is a genius.

Taylor can make a 10 hour long song and i would listen to it non stop

I love that her back-up singers are the same women we've seen by her side for years. It's a testament to her character that they're still by her side, smiling, and full of joy performing for and with her.

I believe these are the vocalists she's had since Red first came out. In fact, her band has been pretty much the same since Fearless, and the few that have left she's still in touch with. Her old vocalist Liz Huett even makes a few appearances on Red TV.

Even thought this is the first time she performed the whole ten minutes. SHE SMASHED IT ! Queen.

If I'd written a super sad poem about my first heart break and was then asked 10+ years later to release the additional, personal, verses. And then perform them live. 😳 I bow down to that courage and confidence. Because I could never.

What an artistic triumph! I can guarantee that I'm older than any of the stated ages here and I only discovered this lyrical genius recently. First time hearing this song. I haven't been so moved by a songwriter since listening to her namesake, James Taylor over fifty years ago. A once-in-a-generation talent. Amazing.

72 year old here loves the song and attended Eras, Sydney. Totally mesmerising performance from an amazing talent and apparently she paints as well. Her g’mothee was an opera singer

SNL really went all out with this performance. They gave her a 10 minute time slot when most people get 2 3 minute time slots, they put leaves on the ground for the autumn aesthetic, they gave her a screen to show her short film, and they made it snow.

I think Taylor Swift may have a possible future as a budding filmaker too or film writer I'm not a Taylor Swift fan but the way she created the story, and how the highs and lows of the relationship were shown felt very realistic and of course can't forget credit to the actors themselves Sadie and Dylan had great chemistry together. I was definitely feeling very emotional and melancholy after it. Well done to Taylor

I remember the whole entire song myself and I've got Epilepsy and have to take medications for it. Both of those things combined makes my memory trash so it's a shock that I actuslly remember anything honestly, let alone lyrics to a song. I can actually sing it karaoke style, remembering when the lyrics come as they go for it without her singing along. I could honestly probably do her entire 3.5 hour concert lyrically. I clean my house and sing to her songs all day everyday 😂

That SNL performance was the first time I ever heard "All Too Well," and about a quarter of the way through the song, I started to realize it wasn't a regular song. I watched the video behind her, and noticed the lighting change, the seasons passing. Five minutes . . . six . . . seven . . . eight. It was a remarkable introduction to a piece I've heard a hundred times since.

When 10 minutes feels timeless.

I remember watching a shy little teenage girl back 16 years or so ago and I knew if she kept on singing she could really go places but never in a million years did I think this little teenage girl would grow up and become the single biggest powerhouse in all of music. Taylor is with out a doubt a once in a life time performer and we need to watch over her and keep her safe and most of all tag along for this beautiful journey as I don't think we will ever see such a bright, glowing star like this again in our life times!!!
