Can't tell you how long I've been shopping for the “right” camper for our family. We travel with cats and have found bunks are ideal for food bowls, litter boxes, and cat lounging. Love all the windows and that the back opens up. That milk crate system-its almost like you've seen how we store our camping gear! 😂 Everything is so well thought-out.

Same here but for dogs
Climbed around in one at Tom's Camperland in Phoenix. Amazed at how insanely functional it was. And the use of milk crates as drawers was awesomely simble!!!
Will you offer the "Overland" package on the Mantis this year? The increased ground clearance and the new hitch are great. There is there is no "Skid Plate" protection on the water tank. Also any chance of a heat pad on the water tank for us cold weather campers?😉
Oh man I'm sold...this is the one we're gonna get ! My husband and I have been searching!!! Thank u God lol
@taxaoutdoors I literally cannot wait to afford the mantis! Its going to be perfect for my little family some day! Great product and will support ya asap!
You do amazing work. Design, adaptability, looks all around awesome 👌
honestly these things look super awesome and I would like to get one, thanks for the tour.
What a well thought out design. Really enjoyed the tour.
Unreal! Great design and very well thought out!🍺
I wish that the pop up shower and hidden lavatory was an option on the cricket. Additionally if there were structure points for hammocks on the cricket it would be nice.
Such an amazing trailer.
I love the Mantis, but I do not like the new cabinets. The all wood layout from previous years is what attracted us to begin with. It made the habitat much more pleasant inside in my opinion.
Very nice!
I love so many things about these, but... wishlist: - some sort of integrated curtain/etc. for outdoor showering? - The layout isn't great for a couple that has a lot of things to do on tables. Would love an option with less bed and more desk/table, one way or another. A 19' trailer for two should be able to have plenty of table(s) and a double bed at the same time. Relatedly: a few more 120V outlets near tables. - incinerating toilet option
Great ideas and cool RV but this is near Airstream pricing so no brainer which one to pick.
I really want to love this but where it absolutely fails my needs is in the wet bath category.
Would have been perfect if they put the cooktop and sink outside.
How is the towing experience? I would be new to towing and am curious how it is balanced (weight mid-point in relation to axle) and how that impacts towing wobble and correction when on grades and at speed. Thanks!
I didn't see if it had a screen door. And does it have an option for a larger then 20 gallon water tank? My cabover has a 30.
Would an ikamper skycamp2 fit on the rooftop tent mount
Is there storage beneath the bed/dinette are?
Do you rent these? I'm from NY, but in August, I am heading back to Utah, for my third overlanding vacation turned National Park Foundation fundraiser, and would love to take one of these out into the desert.
I just worry bout the tent material over time. Most popups Ive owned eventually have issues with it.
50 Grand and milk cartons for drawers?

Nice to be able to bring gear outside

Milk cartons don't crack or fall off the tracks in transit, and don't delaminate in high humidity. They are virtually indestructible and are easily replaced. Literally all of my camping gear it already stored in milk crates. So easy to pack/unpack gear, swap out crates for different trips, or take specific gear from camper to outdoor area or to the car for a day trip.
In the age of Tesla and internet clicking why not simply display the MSRP on your websight instead of having a sales rep call you. It's 2022 for God sake and many people don't want to speak to reps but simply buy online.
Hello, do you know where I can get TAXA Outdoors Mantis in Europe I'm from France. Impotator Thank you
Can we get this trailer in Canada?
For $40,000, those milk cartons better be standard

I've got a question! Can one add any rooftop tent that they would like or does it have to be a thule??, thanks

Hi there! You can absolutely choose your own rooftop tent to place on your Mantis as long as it safely fits within the space on the cross-bars. Feel free to reach out to our customer service team if you have additional questions!
Wish you had an option for slide out outside kitchen. We almost never want to cook inside. Also would prefer a no wood option. Keep this long enough and all that wood will start to have problems. Otherwise, a nice unit if just a bit too big and too long.
Cool, but a HUGE missed opportunity to compete against Opus here. The interior layout does look like someone from NASA created it, as it's functional but lacks real-world experience prior to design. I think a hybrid model, such as Opus 15 would be a great addition to the line up Also, these are not suitable for warm climates. The side-mounted AC is a terrible idea and highly inefficient. There are many that live out west that I'm sure these would be great for due to the climates, but in summer months in the south east or mid-west, there is no way I'd put my family through it with this unit.

Ok
Can you realistically pull this with a Honda Pilot? Asking for a friend
@GROGU123
3 жыл бұрын
Depends on what year Honda Pilot. The newest one only tows 3500lbs, but the GVWR of the std Mantis is 4200lbs. So legally I don't think you can tow it. Realisitically, it could do it, but I wouldn't. Once you load the trailer with some gear and water, it'll be right at the tow rating. Some of the slightly older Honda Pilots can tow 4500lbs, so legally you can tow it. It should also handle it just fine because the mantis has a smaller frontal and side area which helps to reduce wind induced sway. I would still buy a modern electronic sway controller to mount on the camper as well as a weight distribution/ anti sway hitch.
really want this trailer but without a kitchen and bath shower.
My opinion is that they needed more space but they couldn't use the materials, the electrical portion was probably his thoughts same with the plumbing. Im not sure to say the climate isn't correct above the state lines without fusion. I think that the fabric portion makes it lighter but it could be aluminum or an extending carbon fiber thats insulated. I think its difficult to argue with the tiny house community about what is a home and what isn't, these certainly could be used as homes or expanded upon, its a really base model idea that probably isn't designed for above orbit quite yet.
I really love this design but there are some Taxa owners with your trailers (on KZread) demonstrating how rain consistently leaks into the Taxa trailers. Has this been addressed in the 2021 model?
@TAXAOutdoors
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Charles - Yes. That leak issue was present on a handful of 2019 Mantis habitats, and a fix was addressed shortly after the issue presented. The 2020 and 2021 models have not had any structural leak issues.

@@TAXAOutdoors what about the draft at the rear door hatch and the screens blowing out of track?

Looks great, but your graphic labels (pop-up descriptions) have some glaring spelling errors, like the words “furnace” and “intelligent” are incorrectly spelled when you are describing the galley area.
When are you going to fix the broken axles on Cricket trailers? My trailer has been - according to TAXA - unsafe and unusable for six months. Many owners have the same problem. TAXA has been unable to fix the issue and now TAXA is selling 2022 models. Are those unsafe too? Or are you choosing new sales over existing customers? As a very unhappy TAXA Trailer owner, I would NOT recommend your product to anyone!
Almost perfect but that’s absolutely not enough privacy for a bathroom 😂😂
Unbelievably overpriced especially how cheap everything looks..
"We use premium materials) same time in the video he pulls out a plastic milk crate which is suppose to be a drawer.... Nothing like having your dinner table directly above your crapper. I just don't understand people that will pay the asking price when compared to the competition. $10k maybe 12K for the limited innovation in this.
This is so 1980s design
