Funny thing is that when he went to WV, he was considered a bust as well, but few except for those who followed him knew he never played receiver before....he came strictly out the back field. When he got to college, few knew what he had done out the backfield in MD.That's why he hit OU for 300+ from the RB position. If they get the ball in his hands, he'll put in work just like he did at WV. Everyone who really followed him knew that if he stayed healthy in college, he would be considered one of the best open field play makers in a long time. Same in NFL, if he stays healthy and they figure a way to get him the ball, it'll be a problem just like when WV decided to give him more than 8 touches a game.

@KushCloudZone
9 жыл бұрын
you kno he went to a d1 college and did the same thing, right?
@InnanetSlatt
9 жыл бұрын
I kind of disagree. I go to a 2A school and our competition is actually good. To put it in perspective we play against a lot of 4A to 6A schools and we've only lost one game, which was to another 2A school. I personally think the competition varies in our division. Because a lot of charter and private schools are 2A, they have better education. So their coaches recruit talent they see around with a scholarship to a school that has better education, coaching, development, money, a safer environment, etc. This makes a lot of the teams really good. The schools that aren't private or charter are usually jokes though.
@KurthClaws
9 жыл бұрын
I completely agree, but obviously Dunbar high school isn't a private school. (it's super ghetto) Plus you even said you play higher A schools, and Dunbar doesn't. I'm going to school across town and their competition isn't any thing to worry about. And btw most athletes don't play or they not allowed to, (grades, trouble, ect..)

@@dennyghetto4383 I was about to say the same thing. Reggie Bush is the best HS highlight I've ever seen. Second would probably be Noel Devine.
When he actually sprints, hes so fast lol

I Love how he runs slow and watches how the play develops then turns it up and blasts passed everybody or jukes them out of their shoes. Gonna miss this guy wearing Blue and Gold. Glad I gotta watch him turn into the incredible athlete he is today. WVU ALL DAY!!!!!
I've watched WVU football all my life, and I've never witnessed a player as talented as Tavon Austin. Hands down the Greatest Mountaineer in history!
Tavon Austin has the best football highlights ever!
This dude looks like he's putting in a 30% effort. But he turns on jets when he is in trouble. He's going to be beast this season in the nf.

The Daily Rage I noticed that too and that was more than likely b/c there was a flag thrown or a whistle blown that he didn't hear or something that caused the other players to stop and he kept going, if that wasn't the case, then there were some lazy ass players on the other team.

Say what you want about his NFL career. At least he held down a 53 man roster spot for a long time. This will forever be the GOAT of any high school highlight tape ever. I hope the young kids are still seeing this!! I used to watch this once a week when I was in high school
He was a teenager having fun playing football. if he was that passionate at that age about his craft then that added to the maturity he's gained since that point would make him a great fit in the NFL.

Well said coach. State of mind goes a long way. It's a persona that all great players get into. Like Brian Dawkins, an intense animal on the field, but a mild christian man off the field.
Yo dude 7:22 did anyone else realize this camera guy fall on his ass. wow smh!
Same in NFL, if he stays healthy and they figure a way to get him the ball, it'll be a problem just like when WV decided to give him more than 8 touches a game.

you kno he went to a d1 college and did the same thing, right?
@InnanetSlatt
@KurthClaws
