I've only recently discovered that black MIDI is even a thing (it reminds me of oldschool Japanese MIDI animations but dialed up to 11) and I have to say, there aren't many words that can do this justice. Not only is this an amazing composition, but this isn't just a music piece, it's a full blown audio/visual experience. Between the melodies, the harmonies, the makeshift percussion and the intricate note art I had goosebumps almost the whole time. It's great not just as an homage to 'Pi' but as a piece of art in its own right, and I hope you can be proud of yourself for pulling it off! Thanks for sharing :)

To be honest,this is the best black midi I have ever heard. Something in it just touches me. Prepare,because soon it will be anywhere in any rhythm game you can think of.

I have waited too long for this. And oh my fucking god, am I glad how this turned out, for it turned out absolutely amazing. The circle art variations throughout the MIDI are amazing. The melody, the art, the key, they all work with each other to make this masterpiece even more of a masterpiece. And the various iterations of the main melody scattered throughout the rest of the MIDI make it just that much better. Kudos to you, HDSQ, cause this is probably the best thing I've listened to in a *really* long time. I plan to make a video of this MIDI. Thank you for making something this amazing.

i cannot stop picturing the heart of a reality bending clock whenever i listen to this song; dramatic yet neutral, repeating short sequences in constant rhythm, and in between moments of peace and predictability pockets of chaos like a bell marking reality falling apart. BEAUTIFUL

back in the 8-16, maybe early 64 bits game era even, you'd have been the king of soundtrack with tricks like that. kudos, this is really well done and i immensely enjoyed it

I'm trying to recreate this on my phone, so in order to not kill it I limited myself to only five instrumental parts, all piano variants. I've left only some things out, because I'd never have the will to finish the song if I had to do the whole thing XD Thanks for the epic piece!

I heard that to play this you must be in a slightly different position than usual. When the song begins, play like you normally would. As the song progresses, place your foot atop the piano and slowly bring your weight down on it. Eventually you shall completely lie down on the piano and carefully distribute your weight. Now, the next step may require assistance for amateurs. This can be from siblings, friends, spouses, or pets. All participating shall flop on the piano like fishes desperately gasping for fish oxygen. This requires much practice and study to succeed. It is recommended that you take several times more caffeine than usual. Any seizures that may be induced are encouraged. Others can also help by dragging their faces wherever keys seem neglected.
