And it would be reasonable to think that… Luka and Kyrie chemistry gonna get better, PJ Washington and Gafford will have a full training camp with them Lively coming off a good rookie year and should improve, Kidd is a hell of a coach and is getting better with the experience he’s getting and Klay is an upgrade over Tim Hardaway Jr and Kleber.

@@antmck99Kyrie shakes and bakes and can draw more then one defender in leaving players open. That includes Klay now. Luka is a hell of passer and almost averaged 10 assists per game so if you don’t think he will find Klay while being double teamed , you don’t watch basketball. Worth noting just because he has the ball 65 percent of the time , doesn’t mean he’s not facilitating. Which he is. He was just one of two players who could carry. Now he has help.

I think both sides benefit from this. Klay thrived the most as the third offensive wheel (behind Steph and KD, Steph and Poole). He won't be pressured for most of the season, Luka will spoonfeed him open shots, and Kyrie will do his thing, and will find him if he gets stuffed. As for Dallas, if they can get Klay to play just half of the defense he played during his prime, it helps them shield Luka from targeted switches.

The Celtics played Luka one on one. They didn't leave the shooters open. In Los Angeles, AD and LBJ create wide open shots on every possession. He's not getting better shots in Dallas. He struggles off the dribble, We'll see.

There were times were Luka was out on floor with 4 good defenders and he still got torched lmao Overall Mavs defended BOS well at times, it was the massive scoring droughts that killed them. They needed to add more offensive firepower. DAL defense will be just fine overall even if Luka remains a liability. They still made it through the West. BOS are just great at both ends and you need more firepower to keep up when they start draining threes.
