That "sun-flower" actually would be a perfect idea unironically for my mom (or me to get "for" my mom) because she collects sun decorations all over my parents' house. She loves the sun and sunflowers and has a sunflower tattoo herself lol. I should try to remember that for potential inspiration

with a friend we have this personal and fun theory that there are three types of girls: the butterfly tattoo girl, the moth tattoo girl, and the dragonfly tattoo girl. She alredy has the moth tattoo, my next tattoo will be the dragonfly.

My fun story about getting a tattoo at 16 (kind of) My parents were very big on anything they did for my older sister they did with me. When my sister was 16 she wanted a tattoo and they took her to get one but she chickened out Turn me becoming 16 a few years later and asking for a tattoo. They refused saying "we knew your sister would be to scared, you'll actually do it"

@Tronderose it's legal in my state. They did end up taking me to get my ears periced at a studio instead and I have since added the tattoo I wanted into my sleeve (proof you won't always regret tattoos you get at 16)

That's not entirely fun but it's a good story. Im glad you ended up getting what you wanted tattooed.

When people talk about "gen z" as if they are like 14 to 19 years old but I'm 26 and still considered gen z 😐

My sister did a type of “get what you get,” the artist had a magic 8 ball and you got three shakes and could pick your tattoo from the three choices, plus choose black and gray or color. She ended up with a black and gray skull

That 16 year old that tattooed herself has a future blackout sleeve in her future. 🤣🤣🤣

every time you say "do you have your snacks and beverage? a blanket?" I smile, it's so simple but super sweet and yes I usually do have my snack drink and blanket ready!

Even if I was butterflied from head to toe, I'd still have the combat abilities of a drunken slug

After my first tattoo, it took me years to get my 2nd, 3rd…so on because the experience was in a word, disgusting. Friends that were years older than me introduced me to the shop and the artist had such a severe heroin addiction that a year after the tattoo when I showed it to him, he asked “cool who did it?” he was unresponsive when I told him “you”. Unfortunately that’s not my last bad artist story, but my heart goes out to her for being young and hurt, wanting a tattoo. Like any industry, there are creeps with the technical qualifications to pull off their job.

Wow. that's so sketchy. Especially as if he wasn't being careful with needles, cleanliness etc he could have given you HIV or Hepatitis. Hope you got tested since then & have had some better tattoo experiences since. It reminds me of the place I got my belly pierced underage tbh. It was sketchy there to & not the cleanest. I look back on it now & cringe.

My first tattoo was a butterfly on my hip, but I've never been in a fight in my life 😆

I know someone at work who said to me recently that he has a tattoo gun and that he does random shit with it on his legs (or arms, can’t remember) that he knows no one will see. Him saying “tattoo gun” as well as that he gives tattoos on himself obviously in his little unsanitary apartment too made me cringe so hard 😩

I just got my 3rd tattoo on Saturday! I got a tiara on my wrist as a memorial piece for my cat, Princess 💖

I have 3 “get what you get” tattoos and out of all my tattoos (dozens) they are in my top 10 favorites 🥰

I do not have any tattoos, nor do I plan to get any in my life, but I’ve been loyally watching these for months now just because you bring a smile to my face and I get to learn about something I am very far departed from. Keep making these videos, they always make me smile :)

Its hilarious because you wouldn't actually see it waking up in the middle of the night, its dark. Are people sleeping with the lights on?

This is my absolute favorite series of yours! I'm new to getting tattoos as I only have 4, but I have learned so much just from watching these! Its not everyday you can watch something entertaining AND informational. Can't wait for the 100th video! :)

for the butterfly one I think she meant "has an attitude problem" because I know one girl and she covered in butterflies, but she will never fight. All she does is talk big, say she's gonna fight and then backs down (depending on who it is, though). I assume she could fight but I've never seen her, she's said she was gonna fight plenty of people plenty of times though and it's yet to happen

I think now, butterflies (especially more simplistic ones) as a tattoo are meant to symbolize that you have self-harmed or to stop you from self-harming because if you cut the butterfly, you kill it. thats what i assumed the girl meant when she said that people with a butterfly tattoo could fight you.

Genuine question, and I just wanted to get your perspective on it: I’m aware that outlining a blowout in “skin-color” ink, and/or white ink doesn’t make the blowout go away. Once it heals, it just bleeds through again. So how do white over blackout tattoos holdup so well? From what I’ve seen, they don’t completely disappear immediately, so I was just wondering what your thoughts were on it. Is it because in one scenario people are often looking for a permanent “fix” to an issue, and in the other people are aware the immediate effect won’t last? Is that why the attitude around the two are so different?

Tattoo artist here; the reason why a "skin colour over blowout" won’t work is because as you said, the blowout will always shine through. Partly because the blowout is in a deeper skin layer than regular ink should go. It does cover it a little bit but won’t let it magically disappear. With the white on black it’s a little different; first of all the black obviously needs to be healed in order to put white over it. And with the white you then not only tattoo OVER the black but you actually "blast aside" the black pigments that are already there because it’s just done more "aggressively" I’d say. It usually takes not only one session of putting white ink in and the white will obviously never be as white as on the natural skin tone because the black will always shine through. TL;DR white on black tattoos are put in way more aggressively than blowout coverups with skin tone thus work better but also take more sessions.

I did a spin the wheel tattoo selection for Halloween, the wheel was divided into like 10 sections and in each section there was 3 or 4 tattoo sketches, so whichever section you landed on you got your pick of which one the 3 or 4 you liked the most, and if you didn't like any of them you could spin again for 5 dollars. Every tattoo was 60 bucks, it's a 2 inch tattoo that took maybe 15 minutes. I love it, it's in full color that's still so vivid. Every artist at the studio is so talented.

12:03 I'd love to wake up to that 😍 I loooove the German Nosferatu movie (Phantom der Nacht) It's sort of a "it's so bad it's good" type of movie, but the vibe is immaculate ✨

lol I almost impulsively got a butterfly at the tattoo expo I went to last weekend haha, just decided nah because they are so common. Yes us millennials have been through a lot, at nearly 30, I have been through so much crap, I feel like it is like a defence mechanism to not care, like we have learned to pick our battles, and that most stuff isn't worth stressing over.

My second tattoo was a GWYG from a machine. I got it on a vacation in Portugal, always wanted to take a everlasting souvenir with me from all of my travels, and that tattoo is what started the leg sleeve. You can never regret tattoo's like that!

Yeah there is a metod for temporary tattoo with powder, BUT ITS DRAW WITH EYELINER ON SKIN AND BRUSH WITH POWDER, NO STABBING 😮

My parents told me at 16 if I waited till 21 thru would pay. I got a good lower back tat at 21 and saved a good penny. Plus I got what I love still 19 years latter. It does need to be touched up but I love the sun and salt water and it’s old lol. I’ll do it for my kids too.

I’ve loved body mods all my life, my family not so much, for my 18 birthday my dad took me for my septum cause he knew I’d do it anyways. My older sister got a tattoo the day she turned 18… in a garage of a sketchy friend, she then got it touched up by two more people cause it was so bad. I didn’t get my first tattoo till 19 and I looked my artist up for months before I even thought about getting one.
