Yes it is, and yes it does. When things seem to terrible to bear, just keep looking for the beauty all around you and always remember that you are loved.

Few people who are great are great people as well. Tatiana Nikolaeva was great in every way. Thank God we have these (Oh, so few) recordings of her greatness. Her playing is filled with nobility and wisdom and the unmistakable beauty of excellence. Thank you Nikolaeva, thank you.

Incredible rendering of (to me) an obscure piece....BRAVA !

Wow! Nikolaeva was SO important in the creation, performance and recording of Shostakovich's Preludes and Fugues that we might forget her contributions in much different music. This is a marvelous piece (and performance) in its own right, and one that young pianists might learn if they're not yet ready for Chopin's Barcarolle, which requires more maturity.

37年以上も前のことですが、私の結婚式の入場の曲にこの曲を使いました。会場から入って列席のテーブルの皆さまにご挨拶をして、私たちの席に座った時にぴたりと曲が終わりました。心が澄んだ気持ちがしたのを思い出します。何度聴いても良い曲です♪
どうせ皆殺しなんだから、、放送で慣らしてからかな？
