Oh I know, I loved that performance but I think the headset is the way to go. So good. She sang literally all of the song, gave us stage presence, the outfit was amazing and the backup dancers ROCKED THAT. we even got a little bit of dance. Amazing tate!!!

I’ve seen Tate perform these two songs at so many award shows and talk shows and yet the songs just get better and better as do the performances! She keeps the performances fresh every single time. What a superstar!

That would be amazing but I think she doesn’t want it. Like if she hasn’t done it by now, I don’t think she wants to yet. I think it’s related to her asthma. You noticed how she kind of needs to pull the mic away from her mouth to breathe for a sec between lines if she is doing a dancing number?? Like if she had a full headset, it would be more awkward because she couldn’t do a dramatic pull away-integrate it into the performance-dance move- to take a sec to breathe. It would just be her breathing into the mic for a sec. But I have a feeling she is working her way up to that point! She’s gotten so much more stamina and ability to sing great while constantly moving. I think that is honestly the end goal. Maybe she will start doing that on tour!!

She's an asthmatic. Having a head mic wouldn't serve her any purpose as she wouldn't be given time to recover her breath without huffing loudly into the mic; hence the microphone. She can pull the microphone away from her mouth between breaths, she wouldn't be able to with a headset.
